I have very lumpy breasts and after having a left mastectomy, I find it very hard to tell what is "normal" anymore on my other breast. It's still lumpy like it's always been but I have nothing to compare it to, to make my mind not wonder. My 6mo PET scan came back fine. I still have an adrenal nodule, but the lymph node on my collar bone is not lit anymore. What do you ladies think? Do you think a PET scan is the best for finding anything or an MRI? Since my chemo I have permanent neuropathy in both feet and arthritis pain in my shoulder and lower back and hip. The PET scan showed that it was arthritis. I don't know if I should worry. I can't go a day without thinking about cancer in some way. Now a dear friend found another lump and is going in for a biopsy. She's already had BC twice. I hate this disease.

I had an inconclusive PET that was eventually confirmed via scans/MRI.  In my case, the PET picked up some hot spots/tumors that were missed in a scan from only a month before the PET.  When the radiologist viewed the PET and a new scan, he was able to go back over older scans and just barely see the tumors.  So, I was thankful that I had the PET -- some mets was caught early.
