Hi Everyone,

I joined up here in '05 when first dx but really have only been posting now and then.

I've been doing great despite being highly triple pos, but a recent bone scan showed one area of suspicion and they now want to follow up with an MRI in two weeks.

Has anyone else had this happen and what was the outcome?

I had hoped to make it to five years but already feel my fate is sealed and this is mets as although bloodwork is normal I have had some backache which led me to request the bone scan.

Any advice or comments would be very welcome:)

Hi Tricia,

An area of concern showed up on my PET/CT so the doctor ordered a bone scan and MRI and both came back clear. Supposedly, lots of things that are benign show up on these scans. So, hang in there.

Hope this helps. Wish you the best.

When I had a scan  just before chemo started, the oncologist told me the results showed some worrying "damage to the spine". "Cancer?" I asked. "No, damage" he said. Well --- I knew that! I have had a bad back for decades and know that I have a damaged disc. It might have been news to him, but it wasn't news to me! I hope that's "all" that you have.
