Is bruising anything to worry about. A third black and blue mark has come out, all in places you don't normally hit yourself on. I've had a bit (very mild) of a wheezy cough, and some unexplained pain in rib. went to docs about that a few weeks ago. They (plastic surgeon) didn't know what it was, thought maybe a broken or moved stitch from the implant?? I have taken a cat scan for an unrelated thing, and you can see the implants. The one where the rib is bothering me, looks like it lays lower, and I'm thinking, maybe a stitch did break, and the implant is leaning on the rib. I'm seeing this unrelated problem doctor tomorrow, and will ask her opinion when she sees the cat scan pics, if she thinks the implant is pressing on my rib. It's the bruises that have me a bit worried. the 3rd one I found was today. Thanks

I don't have implants, but I just wanted to check to see if you found out any details. Hopefully, your doc ordered some blood work to check your counts since you are bruising and a chest xray for your cough. I hope everything turns out great for you this week! lisa Lisa -mets to lungs & brain.....the weakest step toward the top of the hill, toward sunrise, toward hope, is stronger than the fiercest storm.

Hi, thanks for answering. No one has ordered blood work. I saw my plastic surgeons, fellow, in the hospital, they did draw blood, I never heard from them, so I assume it's okay. The doc I saw today, has nothing to do with cancer, she looked at my cat scan for me, but said she couldn't really say for sure that the implant was leaning on a rib. I think I will give everything another week, and if I still think something may be wrong, I will call my onc. I feel like a worry wart, hypochondriac to call them, when there are so many much worse than me, but then there is always the nagging in the back of my mind, what if....I know it's probably nothing, but I was just curious whether others have had weird bruising also.... I'm going to watch myself carefully this next week. Feel good everyone, and thank you. |
