Topic: Positive bone scan but negative MRI ??

I'm just wondering if this is common.

I had a bone scan recently which showed one suspicious area so they are following up with an mri.

I read there are some incidents of serious gastric disorders which can travel through the blood stream and cause bone infection. I had campylobactor j for two months in the summer and am wondering if this is what is showing on the bone scan.. I do have some back ache but nothing too bad.

Any thoughts or anything similar experienced by other's??
