this is my 2nd recurrence. 1st treatment with gemzar/carboplatin was easy and successful after only 4 rounds. this recurrence is same spot (lymph nodes in neck and chest) opposite side of original cancer which is unusual. add in triple negative and this one is going a little tougher. all in all, not nearly as bad as original chemo (adriamyacin, cytoxan and taxol along with radiation) keep good thoughts , the trials for these drugs were very promising |

I was on Gemzar/Carbo/Avastin/Zometa from Dec to Sept. with success. Unfortunately I developed a severe allergic reaction to Carbo so beginning in Oct I'm on the same treatment minus the Carbo. I have a scan in Dec. to see if it's working. I had minimal SE and that's why I'm happy I didn't have to give it all up and switch to something else. I'm also triple neg.
