I know there are good practitioners out there but also others who may mean well but their treatments aren't effective.  My youngest son saw a TCM practitioner for ages when he had chronic fatigue which kept him from school and a social life.  He stopped going when nothing helped and then he gradually improved and seems to be fully recovered now. At least the TCM man took him seriously and tried many things.  The various GP's we tried were awful as they denied there was anything wrong with him and wouldn't even write him a certificate for school. Fortunately the pediatrician and the highly accredited specialist were sympathetic but there was no treatment other than graduated exercise which wasn't helpful.

I just wish there was some reliable way to assess all practitioners whether conventional or not.
