When I was going through my treatment, I had a very hard time finding positive information. Information that helped you move forward, adjust your attitude in a humorous way, with a hands-on approach. So I decided to change that! When I was going through treatment, I use to draw images in the mirror of how I was feeling that day in the form of hair. This I would consider my biography! I would see what I felt that day, for example, did I need a cheerleader? Then I would draw hair with two pony tails and ribbons on each side of my head, surrounding my bald head in the mirror. It would make me laugh and every time I walked passed the mirror, I would feel rejuvenated and remember to cheer myself on!! I had bad days too, Medusa days...were I did not even want people to look at me, so I drew snakes sprouting out all over my head (in the mirror, of course) and spent the day in hiding, so I really would not turn anyone into stone!! But it helped, it made me laugh, and it reminded me that I was still me and reminded me to deal with my emotions. I have written a book for this very reason that was just released, it is called: "Mirror Makeovers and savvy insights for the everyday gal surviving cancer and baldness with a sense of humor." It has my stories, my biography and my wisdom. I think you will really enjoy it. But besides this positive approach, I decided to write and direct a music video, so people could see exactly what I meant. This video is by cancer survivors for cancer survivors and tells the story of two gals, becoming friends, supporting each other, moving forward and giving back, and it shows how to use my process from the book. Just take a look, you will understand...it is made with LOVE!
