Good morning, Loungettes! Had a wonderful sleep in this morning after staying up late (for me) watching a Steven King movie on TV last night. Ah, the simple joys of life!

Mema--thanks for the good wishes. Sounds like Stella is having her usual good time, sure she'll have even more fun tomorry!

Wahine--thanks for the good thoughts, if you will be that high you will be that closer to God, maybe He'll hear you better? I sent out a couple of applications yesterday, so that's my ace in the hole if the meeting goes as badly as I fear it may. In the meantime, keep dwinking!!!

Karen--facebook can be isolating for all it's supposed to be a social site. I'm sorry you're being ignored there, and it is hurtful when that happens. So easy to gloss over something uncomfortable on fb or by e-mail, both are still mostly impersonal forms of communication. Don't apologize unless/until you know what to apologize for. Try sending an "I was thinking of you" e-mail and see what response that gets. A neutral contact may bring your friend back if she's embarrassed about not responding or not sure how to handle the big c thing. In the meantime, enjoy the wine!

Stella--pack whatever, you look fab in anything, even a burlap bag! Especially if the shoes match the burlap. . . .

DorKable--Thanks for the thoughts and hugs. I'm not crazy about office politics, either, but they are a fact of life. Hmm, speaking of politics, maybe I should send a formal application in for the position I want. Wonder what that will do, if anything? Here's a bendy straw for you, extra long so we can lounge and dwink and gossip!

Kittycat! NED HOORAYS!!!!! And so great that you are being interviewed--way to get the word out! Hope your FIL speaks up, male bc is way too under talked about.

Bernie--LOL!

Hawaiik--Welcome to the Lounge!

Mrs. Vino--Send the man with the big drum and eviction notice, ASAP! Lots of water will flush him down the drain, for sure!

NM, so glad  you are back, gosh, not only did we miss you, but we were so worried.

We had a good show, found some interesting things for a new business we might start up. Also found out that our freind and business partner is shipping stuff on OUR UPS account (mrdrip, which belongs to just my dh and myself) instead of the company it's suppose to ship under. So we are stuck paying the shipping. I am so pissed at this person and can't wait to get our business back up here.

NM, hope that today's meeting was not what you were expecting, thinking of you.

Juliet, I loved the story about the visiting dog, very cute! It was not the ending I expected.

Bernie, I read today's posts from work and copied your "pat on the back" cartoon and sent it to a coworker and told her that our boss needs a good pat on the back. As always, thanks for de laughs~

Lori, welcome back, yippeeeee! But chit, really, how could this partner do that to you and your DH?  sure hope it was a mistake but fear the worst. I hope things work out. I sure missed you.

Mema Sue, you are soooo punny, you cwack me up. And dat Stella is a piece of work. How did I know she would sneak out in de middle of de night. She is so bad (contrary to what de boys say) hehe. I really hope you and Heather are able to meet up tomorrow. Can't wait to hear all about it.

And Heather, how awesome that you and your FIL were featured on the news.  I hope you are able to post a link. You should be berry proud of Daddy Kat for speaking out. It has to be even more difficult for a man to deal with the rat basturd just because there are so few of them around to support each other.

Allie, you look so beautiful, you done good with putting together an outfit, I love it! I will leave it to you to post for de other goils to see. I hope you have a great time at the Ky Derby. I really really wish I could be there to enjoy it with you.

Karen, I liked NM's suggestion on approaching your friends. I hope you are feeling better today about things. And happy birthday to all your clan! Enjoy.

Tomorrow is my DD's sailabration where she gets awarded volunteer of the year. I am so stinking proud of her.  I was just on the web site for the Atrazenica (sp?)Hope Cancer Lodge and wow, what a great place.  There are only a handful of these facilities in the US, I sure hope that the ACA is able to open more. I was reading some testimonials of patients and their families and they warmed my heart. I can't wait to visit and see my baby girl receive her award.

So is anybody gonna join me or am I going to dwink alone (ba da da DA) (tinking of de song "I dwink alone" (ba da da da), with nobody else (ba da da DA)! Join me, somebody, anybody!!!

Cheers, my dears!

Popping  in for a quick Hello and eye-openener before tackling the work day.  Yesterday's meeting never happened.  I showed up at the sup's door at the appointed time, the door was closed, they were meeting with someone else.  I checked back every few mintutes for half an hour, door still closed, then both sups gone for the weekend.  I guess they forgot.  Not the first time that's happened, so I guess it can't be too bad, whatever "it" is.  When I was listening to voice mails I did hear a public apology from the supervisor that made a really hurtful, snide comment in a meeting last week--that was nice to hear. We'd already talked it out and she apologized to me personally, so I thought it was done and over with.  Nice to hear it publically, too, though.

Karen--in my experience contacts with people I meet on a trip keep in touch for a while then it tends to peter out unless an exceptionally strong bond was forged at the time.  Try not to take the lack of contact personally, if you can.  Send them both an e-mail announcing your upcoming trip and see if they respond.  If they do, great, if not, try to let it go.  Make some new acquaintances on this new trip and enjoy yourself.

DorKable--enjoy DD's celebration dinner, and pass along hearty Congrats from me and all of us here in the Lounge! Such a wonderful thing for you and DD!

Karen--my nails peel and break a lot, too.  Always have, probably because I wash my hands so often and use so much hand sanitizer (I go through a 4 ounce bottle monthly just while I'm working).  A couple of the girls I work with have had their nails done with a shellac type product that seems to have strengthen their nails a lot, I've got to find out more about that and see how expensive it is.  If it's not too expensive I think I'll try it just to see how it works for me.

 Thanks for the prayers, Juliet!

OK, time to hit the road, Jack.  I'll try to get on for a minute or two tomorry am.

NM, I don't know is the shipping was intentional or not. He is not that bright, so it could be a mess up, but  I would say he has done it with at least 50% of the orders, so that makes me wonder. If you don't log in and out of the accounts, it just bills to whichever one you are in. My husband called him and told him that we had to contact UPS, as our bill was much higher than we think it should be, he didn't say anything and that would have been a good opportunity to fess up. So we will see. Now I have to correct you...............EZ Walls, not wall o water. LOL, that is the competitor! But I must say, I call them that too on occasion. I have your pictures on FB, you should go make a comment on how your plants survived. I just had a customer order 50 of them! Glad you like them.

Mema, hope Stella doesn't give you any problems today. Maybe with a bit of a hangover, she will behave herself! Have a fun day and thank you for walking. I can't wait to hear if you and Heather meet up. And I hope SIL didn't give ya too much killa!!!

Bernie, remind me to never ask for a pat on the back from you!!!! Hey, how is that hair doin? I think we need an update.

Juliet, sorry you can't go anywhere on your days off. Shoot, how can you even call them days off???? Cute doggie story, poor dog and poor mom tho.

Awwwww (((((DOFEY)))))) I missed you to goils too, thanka ewe. (That is kind of how Lilian says it) I also learned how to say "how are you" in Taiwanese and a little more about their language. Very unusual, as in, if you say "yes" wrong, it can be "shit"...............LOL, because they are both very similar. Have fun at your DD's sailabrashun, were you able to keep it Top Secret?

Astorm, you DO need a drink. SEVERAL OF THEM, so you can stay longer.

Karen, I'm with you on the heat. Pretty much anything over 70 is getting too warm for me, especially if I am in the sun, immediate hot flash. My nails peel, if you mean from the top, sort of like the top layer splits and comes off? I keep polish on my nails ALL the time. I often wondered if that wasn't why I did not have problems with them during chemo.

NM, that was rather inconsiderate of them, not to tell you they were canceling the meeting, maybe they need that "PAT ON THE BACK" from Bernie.

Shayne, that is nice that you could joke with your RO. But we know it's more truth!!

Beans, Kathy............hope you are having a goot time. Beans, did you make it to your sisters house?

Undy, Tidy......hope all is ok with you goils. Cindy, hope you aren't in too much pain. I wish you could check in.

I gots PINK DRINKS for us, in honor of our walkin gals today, Heather and Sue. Oh and Stella too. Iss gots brandy in it Sue!
