I am currently undergoing treatment here in Costa Rica.  We are missionaries here so I needed to have my treatment here where we live.  While in chemo here in the government hospital I noticed many ladies did not even have nice headwear so I started making scarves and asking for donations of headwear from friends and churches in US.  Then when I was home in April my mom said she had some mastectomy prosthesis and bras packed away she didn't use.  I brought them back with me and donated them to the government hospital.  You would have thought it was Christmas.  The head nurse told me she could see the ladies faces that would get them.  Then during chemo the next week the nurse brought a young woman over to me.  She sat on my bed and held my hand and cried.  She said that she would never had had that oppotunity to feel better about herself if it had not been for my mom.  She even opened her blouse and showed  me how beatiful it looked.  So if anyone has these items you would like to donate, please let me know here or a PM and I can give you an address in MN or in AR whatever is closer to you.  Thank you so very much in advance and God Bless, Kathy

To the two ladies I have heard from.  Thank you so very much for your willingness to donate items for the ladies here in Costa Rica.  It also made me think to ask if anyone has wigs that they no longer need, they would also be put to very good use.  Thank you to all the ladies who will be joining me in this project here.  May God Bless, Kathy

Dear ddlatt, Thank you so much.  I will send you a PM with my sister's address.  Are you completely finished with treatments.  It looks like you are having the same treatment schedule as me except I will be on Herceptin for one year.  I had a quadrantectomy which is more common here.  Where was your son's wedding here?  It is a beautiful country and the people help to make it so.  God Bless, Kathy

Hi.  I am doing reconstruction and have prostetics that are beautiful, they are for the left side but I hate to toss them considering how expensive they are.  Are you interested?
