Hi Ladies,
I'll have a right breast mastectomy with immediate reconstruction on 11/16, after two unsuccessful lumpectomies. I still can't figure out what kind of implant I should choose. To my understanding silicone feels and looks better but it carries the risk of leakage, while saline is safer but doesn't feel as "natural". Could you please share a little how you chose those?
Many thanks,
Liz

Liz- Go onto Exchange City There are very knowledgeable people there. Do you know when in those rare instances, that the silicone leaks it is a gel, not a liquid, and does not get into your tissues? Years a go it was a liquid, with a very different story. . JUDY

My decision was based on reading this forum and learning that silicone is more natural feeling. I chose the silicone and they do look and feel very natural. Good luck in your decision. You'll make the right one for you! Jelly Diagnosis: 3/2002, IDC, 3/8 nodes, ER+/PR+, HER2- |
