Hi,  I have family history and Adh so I am on a 6 mos mri/mammo schedule.  I had my mammo yesterday and lo and behold a new set of clustered calcs were found.  I am scheduled for a stereo. biopsy on friday.  I am beside myself... I just went through this less than a year ago.

I had a "clean" mri 6 mos ago.  I don't get it.  I know mri's can't pick up calcs but wouldn't it see DCIS?

Not sure what the bi-rads is of the calcs.  Must be 4.  I am scared and just tired.  My mom had bc and she is getting brca tested next week.

sigh.

Hi Shabby, the same thing happened to me. I have a strong family history, and have had 4 B9 biopsies in the past year alone.

I had an MRI in July which didn't show anything in my left breast. I then had my mammo in Aug., and it showed a cluster of microcalcs (birads 4).  I had a stereotactic biopsy in Sept. that came back B9 - fibroadenoma and ductal hyperplasia. So don't panic too much.

My mom also had BC (she died from it at 57), and I am getting brca tested tomorrow.Frown
