I seem to remember a thread here about trouble finding bathing suits. Well, I just picked up 2 of them and thought I would share.
I got the mastectomy Grecian something from Land's End and it is great. Nice coverage without being too "granny". I have young kids so tend to go for something with more coverage, anyway, as I am leaning down to pick them up and they hang on to my suit, etc. I found it fits a bit small so got the size up from my usual. They don't have them at the Sears Yorkdale so I got it on-line and it was delivered within the week.
I also got one of the regular swim tops and just sewed a pocket into it myself. Not as much coverage but I really liked it. I figure..... If you want to look down my top, you better be prepared for what you see! These fit to size.
Also, Melmira (is that the right name), on Yonge in Toronto have a great selection, but a bit pricey. I was in London a few months ago and a mastectomy shop behind the hospital (sorry, don't know which hospital it was!) had a great selection.
So far I have just used shoulder pads and bath scrunchys to fill my bathing suit but will eventually get swim prosthesis.
