Can anyone tell me if femara can make one really moody?  I began taking femara in July and am currently struggling with a short fuse and irrational thinking.  After five years of this, I should be job-free and marriage-free (kids may desert me as well.)

Can anyone help?

I began taking femara about the same time you did - myself in August.  I have the hot flashes of course, as you probably do.  That's ok since fall and winter are coming up. So I have to look at the bright side of it. I too have temper swings, but I wonder if its also what's going on with everything also.  Husband seems to understand and kids are moved out of the house.  Maybe we (fellow femara folks) should take up Karate or something so we can kick something from time to time. Hang in there, I feel your pain.

Hi:

I started on Femara last May. I feel the same way. I don't think it's the Femara per se. I think it would be any AI because the Estrogen is being depleted. What do girls think?

Do you have insomnia too?

Nicely said........... we must hang in!!

many hugs,

Erika

What's sleep.  I used to read about that event.  Can you define that.  Just kidding.  I sleep, wake up cause I'm hot, wake up cause I'm cold (because 10 minutes ago I kicked off the blankets), wake up cause I worry.  You name it. Then 10 minutes (pretty sure) before I have to get up for work I start sleeping like a baby.

I guess there are so many effects from so many things: menopause, daily life stressors, medication.  I have a new one added: actonel, because I have osteoporosis that, of course, will worsen with the femara.

What a journey all of us are on.

Maybe I should go on a cruise!

Thanks everyone!
