<font> Hi ladies

I no longer go into chat very often, but I do wonder how my friends from my days on chemo etc are.

So.....how are you all? whats going on in your lives?

I thought it might be a nice idea, for ladies who maybe check the board, to catch up with each other here.

Please let us know how you are all doing!

I am doing as well as can be expected. Still dealing with the hand/food syndrome from the xeloda, but it is still working. My hair is now over my ears and tothe bottom of my neck. It actually moves when I shake my head In the back of my mind I always wondered if I would see this day. Now if the easter bunny brings the hair color fairy, I'll have it made

I am back at work doing ESL and working with a dear little boy with Cerebral Palsy in the nursery - how many of you can say that you get paid for rolling on the floor pretending to be a dinosaur???LOL

Good to see some of the old names - the ones who held my hand in the middle of the night when i couldnt sleep.
May just pop into chat again to see who is there!!

I'm doing great. I miss the days where we had our own colors in chat, and I definitely miss the food fights.
Does anyone remember the night I was in chat and I ran out of toilet paper in my house??

I'm doing fantastic. I can't believe it'll be 3 years this August. I'm not baby beth anymore-- I'll be the big 3-0 this year!!!
Things couldn't be better. I'm living my dream (and getting paid) to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. I'm the executive director of a web site that is being developed to help women globally facing reconstruction after masctectomy/quadrandectomy. I can't give all the details yet cause it's still pretty top secret, but we will launch in May/June.
The launch will coincide with the 2007 gala of Hope where my plastic surgeons are being honored as the physicians of distinction.

Look out for me again in this Octobers issue of Self magazine. (one year wasn't enough? lol... this time I won't be topless)

Love life is still going well. Had a little bump in the road a few weeks ago, but everything is now status quo.

Lots to look forward to in June-- the Gala, the web site launch, I'm speaking at the Relay for Life dinner, and then hopefully going to Wilmington, NC bc.org get together.

Good to hear from everyone! I love you all to pieces!!!

Gosh...it's seems like yesterday in one way but a lifetime in another way.

And yes... you are STILL "baby" beth - considering I will be the big 4-0 this year!

My first time in I couldn't see to type I was crying so hard and all the ladies were so wonderful to me. Without all that love and support I honestly don't know how I would've gotten through it all. Meanwhile, I am well-all tests are good praise be!

Today being my sister's birthday, and tomorrow being mine- I stopped by the local Price Chopper to pick up a couple of steaks and a birthday cake. Had them write the traditional happy birthday to us on it. Should have had them write f..... you!
I put it in the front seat, so it would ride safely home. It ended up on its side and only that side was smooshed. The carton of eggs that was in the back seat, in a bag w/ other things made it intact. Was on my way to the bank to make my daily deposit, just got into the left turn lane looked up, saw a big black pick up coming at me. I thought oh sh-- he's gonna hit me. He did, knocked me into the big purple pick up truck in front of me. As I bought a hugh chrysler concorde last time- I pushed this truck several feet down the road.
Fortunately, it was warm and I had the window down, managed to hang my head out the window. Did not have too bad of response to the airbags this time. I was only going 10 mph or less, the only actual injury I have is a scrape smaller than a dime on my knee from the good old air bag. My back hurts, but not sure whether it is from the bone metastisis or the accident. Seatbelts are wonderful things sometimes.
Anyway- I am doing fine. I see the oncologist next Friday and will get a new tumor marker test done. I just finished the 4th round of the oral chemo without the major side effects from the last time.

Happy Friday 13th birthday to me

I am finally up to 7 hour days at work (my days used to be 9 or more) and since this is the first week of those 7 hour days I am TIRED tonight with one more day to go. I am also HAPPY since I don't see my Onc for 4 months this time...this is my longest stretch between visits. WOW.....finally they are getting further apart. I was told that my next mamo will either be digital (if the new one is installed and running by Sept) or a MRI as even at the age of almost 51 I still have dense breasts....my oncs are both sooo surprised that after rads they are soft and dense???? so I will get one of the new and improved mamos. Will let you all know how that goes.

Take care all of you.....prayers and good thoughts come you way each night.

I am doing well myself, my 3 year mark will be in August. I am now in the process of reconstruction, having 2nd phase in NOLA May 7th.

Would anyone be interested in meeting in bco's other chat room "staying connected" one night each month. We could pick for instance "the 4th Friday of each month at a specific time". Give this some thought and if anyone is interested I think it would be fun and we could sit on the "confused couch" again. LOL
