I have another dilemma I mean I know I am having the biopsy. Everything just changed and it is confusing. I had an MRI Oct. 27 results was suspicious spot. (I wrote about that before). Now, I went to surgeon and he was almost sure it was cancer without results he also "thought" he felt something. Radiology scheduled MRI biopsy for the NOv. 12 but then called me in for another ultrasound. The tech found two suspicious spots but decided that was nothing. Then two doctors came in and tried to figure it out. They were discussing the location and how diddicult it would be to do. They even wondered if the tail of a very small tatoo I have hod showed up which is ridiculous because it has never shown up before. They decided in wrong location. They finally decided the two spots the tech found were suspicious and should come out and that may be what the MRI was showing. But, here is the but, if these two spots come back negative that doesnt mean they got what the MRI showed. They said they would repeat MRI in 2-3 months if still there then they will do a MRI guided biopsy they just wouldn't be able to do that soon after the first two biopsy. The biopsy for the two is scheduled now on Wed. morn Nov. 11. I am totally confuesed now.

I'm confused too. The only way they'll know anything for sure is when they get the results for the biopsy. Try not to worry too much! Diagnosis: 11/2/2009, IDC, 1cm, Grade 2, ER+/PR+ |

I think I get what's happened. Evidently, they were hoping that whatever they saw on MRI could also then be found with ultrasound, since they knew where to look, and an ultrasound guided biopsy is much easier for everyone than an MRI-guided biopsy. But they're not positive what they see with u/s is what they also saw on MRI. So, they'll do the u/s guided biopsy on what they see there now, but are still concerned if what they can see on u/s is everything they saw on MRI. It's confusing, but it does make sense to me. Here's hoping the u/s guided biopsy is B9 (both spots), and when they re-do the MRI in a few months, there will be nothing there -- which will mean one or both of those WERE the spots they had originally seen and were concerned about!
