Hello,

I'm Ed Larkin, "Viddie's" husband. She asked me to write and to tell you how her bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction surgery progressed.

She had her surgery on Monday, Aug 13 at the Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. The procedures lated 12 hours, after which she spent 24 hours in the surgical ICU. She was moved to her own room last night and, other than a little grogginess, is doing very well. We expect she will be released from hospital on Friday.

Thank you for your concern and support. Each of you has been a source of great encouragement and joy for her. You will proobly be hearing all the details directly from her next week.
