Hello I am getting ready to start 4 treatments of TC 3 weeks apart. I am trying to decide on which oncology to go to. I am 45 in great health very fit. Both places are the same distance from my home about 30-45 minutes.
Place A automatically gives you the neulasta shot the day after chemo then check blood counts every 10 days, and they have kind of dividers between the chemo chairs with a curtain if you want privacy. But I am also checking into another one of their locations that the same doctor goes to.
Place B only gives neulasta if you need it, they have you come in once a week to monitor blood counts. They have an open room for treatment but they also have a few private rooms you could use, and they have wifi which would really make the time fly and I could get work done.
Any opinions on the neulasta shot? Should I go with a doctor who feels I should just automatically get it or not?

I would love to meet up with everyone. I do a lot of traveling to car shows so my time is pretty limited. I will be in San Antonio Texas next week and Omaha Nebraska the week after and then no more shows planned but . . . I am working on a deal for us to go to Atlantic City, NJ in June. Don't know if it will pan out but I will let you know. Not exactly a hot spot to visit but we will most likely be in NY after the show visiting family since it is close. Of course if you want to come to Kansas City I have two spare bedrooms one with a double bed one with two twins so anyone who would like to can come here and we could do BBQ and fireworks. We have a nice July 4th here, my husband puts on a pretty nice show of fireworks.

Getting together would be fantastic. It is really sad that Carrol and I live maybe 15-20 minutes apart and have never met!! What's wrong with us Carrol? LOL!
Australia is not in my budget either (although I would love to go someday). Anywhere in the US I could manage! I How far is Chicago from you Marjie? I know Carrol and I both are in the Kansas City area, but it is really boring here!! I imagine we could find some trouble to get into though!
On a sad note, our chemo buddy Beccad has been diagnosed Stage IV. She posted on the Calling all TNs thread. I believe bone, lung and liver. Let's all send her some good vibes!!
I am waiting to hear on a job interview I had with the local school district for a paraprofessional position. I would love to go back to work, but need a schedule that works with the kids!
So happy for your news Mum!!!

man I hate these recurrences. Just when science seems to have come so far treating this we are reminded of how far we still have to go. I am hoping Becca and MBJ will pull through this.
Tiffany just say when and where! I am going away for a few weeks but normally I have lots of time since I only work part time.
Going to PS today to see what the next step will be. I think things are looking good.

Mum what cities can you fly directly to in the US. I would think NY, LA and maybe Chicago.
