Hi there,

my sister has been telling me since January that I have bad breath.  I have never had chronic bad breath before and I started chemo in December, so I am wondering if this is a side effect.  I never got the taste change,  but I have felt like my mouth tasted weird.  I finished up DD ACT on March 22.  Anyone else experience this?  If you did, at what point did your breath return to normal?  I'm so mortified!

My whole body had a weird odor during chemo, so chemo could be the problem.  Are you using Biotene mouthwash?  It's especially good for dry mouths.  Otherwise, the odor could be coming from your tummy, a SE of chemo killing off so many cells.  Maybe try eating some yogurt to put back some good bacteria.     Deanna

Metal-mouth.  That's what it felt like and what it smelt like.  Definitely a side effect of chemo.  Went through a lot of mouth wash.
