Hi y'all: I started my 35 treatments on November 30th and finished on January 19th and I finally feel like I getting back to my new normal. I've been walking and trying to decide if the lack of exercise has been making me tired.
I am trying to work in more activity since I've been lax about it trying to get our business tax and personal tax stuff together to take to our accountant, closing out our end of year, etc.
So today I decided to use my new steam cleaner to clean the carpets. I got our big den done and it looks great. I got tired so I went to run errands and intended on cleaning the front room and hallway carpet but am just lazy I guess. It feels good to be tired from cleaning again. I find that my energy is coming back a little at the time.
A friend of mine said someone told her that if I drank Carnation Instant Breakfast (now Breakfast Essentials, lol) every day that I went to treatment and after until I had my energy level back up to pre-bc levels, I would bounce back quicker and I think it's been good for me to do that.
I just hate feeling tired especially since I have 9 million things to do before we have our annual Easter weekend reunion. Everyone comes here and we really have a great time. It will be extra special this year since I'm cancer free and my sister had a scare with her colon, so she is recovering from major colon surgery and is doing great. We have a lot to be thankful for this year.
Momma passed away on 12/31/06 so this bc has been hard since I know she would have been like a helicopter hovering over me but I like to think she would be proud of how I've handled this and is always sitting on my shoulder.
I hope everyone is getting stronger and getting back to your new normal!
