This is my first post, and I am looking for information and support. I was dx with stage II breast cancer about one year ago. I had an agressive treatment plan that included mastectomy, chemo and radiation with a profilatic hysterectomy as well. I do feel I got through treatment with as much grace as a could muster thanks to tons of support from friends and family.
But my question today is has any one experienced a re occurance of a rash at the radiation site. I just have developed this 4 months post radiation and I am mystified. I have calls out to all my providers but wonder if anyone has experienced the same

I have a dim memory of something called "radiation recall". Did you have chemo before radiation? It's rare but certain drugs can trigger a reaction to radiation even years later. Good luck and let us know what your doctors say.

Thanks for the reply. I had recalled that as well but mo says it was a typical cellulitis and I am glad to say antibiodics have cleared it up.
