I'm writing for my sister. She had BC three years ago. Stage one IDC, some DCIS. She had a double mastectomy at the time.  No chemo (even though her oncotype was 27. Sigh).

Did a couple years of tamoxifen, then had her ovaries out this past summer.

She now has to choose between Arimidex and Femara.  Any thoughts?  She's 46.

Thanks

Femara was much easier on me than Arimidex.

I see many women on these boards that suffer on Arimidex and suffer with their hips and backs and developing arthritis.

Thanks.  I've been reading the same threads.  I am wondering if one is more effective than the other, as well.
