Hey ladies....
I know I've been a bit quiet here lately, I just seem to not have any extra time on my hands lately...I'm having more surgery on this Friday coming...tried to avoid it at all costs but it seems to be the logical answer at this point...Finally having my ovaries and tubes removed..not sure about the uterus yet (waiting to hear what test results showed)..and probably won't know that until I wake up....Had all my pre-op stuff done last week, and had to go and give my own blood ahead of time just in case...yep, just in case I bleed to near death as I usually do with surgery...They weren't really sure they should take two bags of blood the other day, iron was only at 12.5..so the second bag may not be able to be used, if the iron shows to low anyway..Won't know that until the hospital either...Hoping to not have to use it either way...but some of you may remember, I tend to bleed ( for no reason --other than I pump my blood very hard and very fast)...That would be why I tried to avoid the surgery in the first place, and put up with having lupron for over 3 1/2 yrs.....BUT...last scans showed some slight change in the nodules in my lungs...nothing much but still change, meaning that the estrogen just isn't stopping enough...After all those shots one would think I'd be done with estrogen...Only thing we could think of was to get them out finally, oh and start on the tykerb...which has been horrible..down to 2 pills a day instead of 4 because of the side effects...I've had a few days off of the tykerb because of the surgery, and my body feels so much better off than on....
In general I feel kind of crappy since giving my blood the other day, not sure if the iron is just too low, I have black and blue marks all over the place....Seeing my oncologist tomorrow, see what he has to say...Oh...forgot to mention that they sent me for my first bone density test before the surgery, and of course the lupron and probably all the other drugs has put me into osteopenia....Fracture risk moderate for spine, hips and femur...hmmm.....so after all of this we have to address that part of it...I'm sure my bones would be much worse off if my estrogen hadn't been so high..It's all such a vicious cycle...I'd like to get off this merry go round for a bit, but I guess that's not really the option I want.....
Say an extra pray for me tonight that I have any easy surgery, but then again I figure if I don't wake up from surgery I probably don't even know it..huh ???? Surgery is Friday, my birthday Sat. what the heck was I I thinking when I planned this..??? Oh I know, July starts the beginning of the year with all the new deductibles and co-pays, amazing the things we try to keep straight...and save a few bucks...I'll keep you all up-dated on my results, hey I wonder how much the ovaries and tubes weigh ??? I could be lighter when I get done, dropping a few pounds...Hmmm Take Care KLynn....xoxox

Thanks Friends for all your thoughts and prayers... I think they worked better than anything else....No bleeding problems this time, surgery went pretty easy...although I forgot that feeling of being hit by a bus when you first wake up...Felt very much like my c sections....Incisions not bad at all, in fact tiny, without stitches, just glue..lol....OHHHH but the air...the air that they pump in there...what the heck ??? Did they think they were filling a blimp ???? The pain from the gas now is what is really bad...doesn't want to move...feels almost like it is up in my chest, the pressure s*cks...Moving around as much as I can to get it out.....I think it will be days before it budges with all the pain meds they gave me....oh well...it too will pass....ahahahaaa.... On another note just wanted to say, I had a visit from one of our "sisters" here, she brough me the best paella I've ever had.... The friends that I've met here, in person and online are some of the nicest people I know...Love and kisses...Thanks again...KLynnxo How lucky I was to have known someone, that was so hard to say goodbye to....
