These are great photos. Did you travel around much? I went to Russia way back in 1991, whe it was still Communist. We had to have a "minder" with us the entire time. 2 days after I left they had the big coup, there were tanks in Red Square, right where we had been. Would be interested to go back now and see how much things have changed. Doesn't look like the weather has improved any!! Kerry - Mx, Chemo, Rads,Tamoxifen

Does this mean you are home:) Wow, what a trooper you are. Lovely photos. We were in Russia and then Siberia a year ago trying to adopt a little boy. I always wanted to adopt a child. When we went over the child we were to see had some serious problems. I found a little boy who the Russian government classified as disabled but all he had was a cleft. I fell in love and tried to adopt him. My biological kids and husband were so excited. When we went to pick him up the judge just plan didn't like us. She stopped our hearing and said we had to do x,y and z before she would consider letting us have the boy. We had made multiple trips, it was super expensive and my husband had just lost his job. Needless to say we had to throw in the towel. I was heart broken. I still have his pictures around the house. For months I didn't understand why fate had dealt him and us this hand. In March when I was dx with stage 4 bc, I finally understood. I pray that he is with a loving family and with a mommy that can help him have the life he so deserves (which includes a mom that lives a long, long time). Okay, don't know why I just shared all that. Russia is beautiful, hard and complicated. Welcome home. Heidi Dx 3/5/2009, IDC, <1cm, Stage IV, Grade 3, mets, ER-/PR- |
