I was just thinking I have not seen any posts/comments from Florida Lady. I hope she is doing OK. I really appreciate and enjoy her input. Anyone know if she is OK?

The last I heard from her she said that they were losing control of her disease. If you click on her name on an old post you will see when she was logged on last...and it was about a week ago I think. She has been invaluable to me too..... We are a family of FAITH, HOPE and LOVE!

This brings tears to my eyes, for our dear, dear Deb. I have communicated over the years with Deb and do so, so much cherish her. She is a wonderful, sharing sister, with incredible stamina in the face of personal diversity. Recently she asked for more space, as disease progression occurred, praising too that her family and friends would help see her through this time. Deb, I love you so. I am bereft of words just now, yet hope you may feel some kindred spirit from us all. Gently surrounding you with compassion and appreciation, hoping your strength in spirit finds the grace we all constantly seek in life. Thank you Julie for posting tonight. I hope you might update us from time to time. If any one wishes to send Deb a card, please pm me. Julie I can't tell you how saddened I am by the loss of Deb. I do not know of anyone around here who cared about others more than she did. Even while she fought her own battles, she continued to research to try to help the rest of us. She endured terrible harassment by a few people who did not believe in any of the treatments that kept her going, long after her doctors told her she was doomed. She never ever gave up on herself or on us. I was always amazed that she was able to find so much invaluable information so quickly. Someone would have a question, and bam! FlaLady would have some link or study to back it up. She was an amazing person and my mentor around here. It is because of her that I had the faith and courage to think outside the box and do my own research whenever I felt like what my doctors were telling me did not seem right. She was living proof that this is not a one size fits all disease and that our bodies can fight hard if we give them the right weapons. I will never ever forget this amazing, loving, incredible woman. I just wish I could have been there for her the way she was for us. I hope she knew how much we loved and appreciated everything she did for us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bless her beautiful soul. I will miss her with all my heart. |
