I am intersted to know how many of you are in active treatment and are going to or have gotten the H1N1 vaccine--and why or why not.
I'll start:
currently on Gemzar/Zometa
Undecided
Am worried about the risks involved with the vaccine itself
----------------------------
Please note that all stages are welcome to answer. I am most interested in those who are in active tx right now, but all are welcome to participate!

I got the regular flu shot, the pnumonia shot, and the h1n1. Couldn't really tell you why, just made that choice. I've gotten the regular flu shot for as long as I can remember and don't get sick. I figured it can't be that different. Carcinosarcoma of the breast, modified radical mastectomy 12/08, dose dense A/C then Taxotere, 35 rads to the breast. Oct 2, 2009 Metastatic Recurrence to the lungs, still triple neg, Starting weekly Abraxene, bi-weekly Avastin 11/13/09

I recieved the regular flu shot along with my Neulasta shot on October 20. Am on TC x 6. Last Thursday (11/5), I had the H1N1 shot. My onco recommended it but they did not receive supply in their office yet so I had it done at local pharmacy/drugstore. No problems at all - knock on wood! TheNuevoMe
