Yikes, I did a TV interview with my oncolgoist for the new HER2+ Cleopatra clinical trial. I hated seeing myself on TV and haven't shared this with anyone but will share it with you ladies. I think you will have to cut and paste it in your browser. Let me know if it doesn't work.

I am due for another interview maybe this week. THIS TIME I will practice and be more prepared with what I want to say. They caught me off guard as they called me at work and asked me if I could be there that afternoon. I never really had a chance to think of what I wanted to say. Also, my hair and outfit was ewww that day too.
However, my oncolgoist was wonderful. God, I love that woman!!

Jennifer, Yes, it worked to cut and paste in my browser. You were great. It is so helpful to me to be in touch with other Stage IV women and compare notes. Thanks for sharing. |

Jennifer ~ you were magnificent! I can see why they chose you to be a spokesperson, your enthusiasm for the study was infectious. Your hair and outfit looked charmingly appropriate, certainly better than that lavender sack that the interviewer had on! Let us know when your next starring role is scheduled. I can't get it to play. Could not get my last interview to play either. Anyhow, I hated how I looked on tv. They wanted me to do 4 interviews. I backed out of the last two. Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain, with the rain of shambala

Thanks All. Yeah, Janis, I feel the same way. I hated how I looked and sounded on TV. They wanted me to do one this week at 6:15 AM ... but it is an hour away and I have to get my kids on the bus so no go. I am not doing this trial as I don't qualify since I have already had chemo. It is for your first line treatment upon metastisis or reoccurance. However, my doc wanted me to be the patient spokesperson... so I will do what they need me to do (wiithin reason). Fitz, I may ended up opting out like you. Can't say they gave you much to go on as far as what they wanted you to say. If anyone needs help preparing for a tv interview feel free to contact me. I have worked as a media trainer, and was a news anchor for 10 years. I have never done coaching over the phone, but would be happy to do what I can free of charge. If you are in the NY area I can also work with you in person. |
