I travel a bit, both by air and by auto. I have had a double mastectomy and certainly cannot pack the swim forms in their original box and the cradles of the forms I would be wearing. How have you managed to take forms and cradles on trips? This may seem trivial, but I hope someone has an idea or two.

Hi Sunny719, When I travel, I take the cradles out of the boxes. For the forms I'm wearing, I stack the pair of cradles and they don't take up much space in my suitcase. If I want to bring an extra pair of forms, or swim forms, I also remove the cradles from the boxes and carefully pack the cradles with forms in between clothing items. They haven't moved much during travel when I've done that. Some women say they don't even bother with the cradles and either nest the forms among some socks or other soft clothing or leave them in a bra which they hang by the straps when not wearing them. If you really want to travel light, those solutions would probably work. Barbara http://breastfree.org

Barbara-----Thanks. I'll be making my first short trip (since getting fitted) next week, then face, joyfully, two months away---traveling by car, but concerned about space and keeping the forms in good shape while away. I like your ideas! |

I put them in a bra that I've folded in half so one cup is nestled in the other. usually you can find something else with stiffness to nestle that into. The TSA inspector will just have to wonder what that is if he/she opens you bag. Rose
