Hoping you will join me here where there is nothing to do but offer love, friendship, support and fun to each other. This journey is a tough one ... let's hold each other up, laugh when we can, cry when we need to, find hope, courage, strength and love with the help of one another. Fun and laughter is important .. it's good for the soul and it's Great medicine! Looking forward to seeing good friends and meeting new ones!

Lisa, I think the horizon is just fine. If it were flat the waves would look strange. Besides isn't the world round which would make for a slight curve in the horizon? Just wondering.

Sometimes a cloudy, cool day at the beach is a good thing---when it's over 90 in the city!

Hi Beachies! Loving All the Pics! The RADS have me worn out, hurting, & just not feeling well! Don't want to do a Darn thing!
I need a lazy beach day!

Since I can't be in the sun some of these might be the way to go....

I love the roofed things with the curtains on the side. I absolutely fry in the sun. That would make the beach a lot more fun for me.

You'd still get a LOT of reflective sun from the sand and water. But you'd get a great, even tan.

As for the cloudy day ... reminds me of the old saying - a bad day at the beach still beats a good day in the office :)
Here's one of my favs...probably have posted before, but hopefully (a) most won't remember and/or (b) still worth looking at!! This is at the Delaware Bay at our campground.

Oh my dear Beachie ladies how I have missed you and the photos...would so love to be on a beach right now. Will be in Stone Harbor at the end of the month for family get together. Hoping for relaxing, peaceful sunny week. Too much nonsense and crazy things as of late. Hope all is well with all,

Good to see you again EWB!!!! You've been missed.
Marlegal, we've all seen the pic, but I could look at it every day. I LOVE the diamonds on the water!!! I don't relish the thought of heating up in the sun. My heat tolerance is even lower this year. Just can't stand it...sigh.

julz - I love all of thoses beaches. Wish I was on one of them now. I will be on Pine Knoll Shores, by Atlantic Beach, NC in September. DH has made reservations for us to have a few days there to get away and do whatever I want while we are there. He is such a sweetheart. I'll post more about that when it happens.
Hope all are doing well in the heat and looking forward to some cooler temperatures.

EWB, where in SH are you going to be? Not specifically, but what beach would you be going to if you go to the beach? We should be down that weekend (we have a trailer nearby) and generally go right around 96th Street. Would be fun to try and catch each other!

Actually the bald eagles around here seem to prefer fish. We often see them fishing in our canal and ignoring the cat that likes to sit on the dock across the way.

But why do they always looked pissed off? I've never seen a happy bald eagle!
