Hi. I was diagnosed in Sept. '08 with stage 3 lobular carcinma with ductal tendancies, had surgery (dbl mas) in Oct. with 9 cancerous lyphmnodes, finished chemo in March, I am scheduled to start radiation on Monday and I think I have new lump.  Has anyone had a lump that soon after chemo was over?  I just discovered this today and have not called my dr.  I guess it is my onc I should call or should I just wait and tell my radialogist on Monday.  I am under a lot of stress as I am going through a divorce as well and am trying to keep my girls.  Any adivse or help would be much appreciated.

Blessings,

I have a friend that felt a lump 1 month after her exchange.  Her PS thought it was nothing but her main surgion wanted to check it out.  In her case it was cancer.  So she's been doing more chemo.  But I'm so happy to tell you last week she had a new scan and almost all the cancer is gone.  They just see a 1mm spot.  But in your case it might not be cancer but do get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for your info and encouragement.  I am praying it is nothing.  I hate the thought of more chemo. I don't know if it is something that would go away after radiation or not.

Is the lump in your chest area or by a lymph node (neck/arm pit)

Since tommorrow is Friday and not the weekend yet just call your doc and see what he wants you to do

The lump in on my breast, well let's just say on top of my expander.  I had a skin saving mas., so I do have a little shape.  I think i will call my oncologist and pray that he is in on Friday.  My original lump was in my arm pit but then antoher appeared in my breast pretty fast.
