and 3 yrs left on tamoxafin!
my tumor was at the bottom and very deep!!

Finished treatment Nov 2006
Still debating genetic testing

21 out of 24 weekly CMF treatments Dec. 05 - May 06 It was stopped because it caused me to have double pneumonina and several blood clots in my lungs. Spent 8 days in the hospital to treat this when the found a spot on my lung, (which is shrinking as of the last scan done Nov. 23 '06).

6 months on Lovenox shots for the blood clots.
32 rad treatments from end of June 06 to Mid Aug 06.

No further treatments.

Nipple endema

Went off Lovenox after 6 months and wound up with another blood clot in the lung. Back on Lovenox shots twice a day.

Had Port removed Dec 21st '06

started Comadin for blod clots so I could get off the shots on Dec 22nd. Got to stop the shots Jan 10th and am trying to get stabilized on the coumadine.

Have pain on back and side that was affected will talk Onc abot it this week.

Scared?? HELL YES!

August 04-mammogram, ultrasound and core needle biopsy. confirmed cancer in left breast stage 2 2.5 cm,, i think.

September-sentinel node biopsy and it was clean and lumpectomy but didnt get clean margins.

October 1-started chemo 4 rounds of EC and 4 rounds of taxotere.

Jan 05 could go for lumpectomy and try for clean margins but decided bi lateral mastectomy and lymph node removal.
Nothing found in the breast and only traces of cancer in 1 lymph node. Yes in my case my sentinal node was clean but it was in one of the others.

Jan 06 started major complaints of muscle pain in groin area. Assured it wasnt breast cancer because it doesnt go after muscle. 6 months of complaining and finally putting my foot down for the MRI and guess what???? Appears to be mets and need biopsy. biopsy confirmed mets to hip with broken pelvic bone and the muscle next to it. Few spots on liver. Started Herceptin, zometa and xeloda and been on that ever since. Changed Oncologist after she said I no longer trusted her since mets wasnt diagnosed when I first started complaining. She refused to believe until I pointed out in paperwork that she was aware of the problem yet monthly it was notated. new oncologist and he is wonderful.

Had scans in Dec and hip is no longer broken and liver is clean! Still continuing treatment which I hate but at least its working.

Currently, that status may change, but when it does and I know for sure, I will come back and add it. Not going to add it now... I have a furball- that's my story and I'm stickin with it!

That was May '06. In Nov '06 the did a ct no contrast but said that it was shrinking and will keep an eye on it. Had it grown they would have had to do a biopsy. Not sure if it was in an area that the rads were hitting.
I do have quite a bit of pain in my affected side that I will be asking about. A trunkal thrombosis. that also hurts and some nipple edema that drives me nuts!

Hospitalized & had drainage done & it didn't get it all so had another drainage done. Had to wait 6 weeks to start chemo back up for 6 tx then rads for 30 days. On the last day of rads the onc found 2 lumps in the same breast & had to have another biopsy but found to be b9. Now taking tamox since finishing rads in Oct.06. Breast is hard & tender to the touch but onc thinks its just scar tissue. Will see him next month & have another mammo.

Very strong family history. Father had stomach cancer, brother had lung cancer, 2 sisters who have survived BC.

Started Arimidex July 1 05 so I'm 1.5 years through it. I take it at night and feel about 90 years old until next morning. I will be glad when it's over. I had a hysterectomy in 2004 with ovaries removed, so I think I have ZERO hormones in my body. I was ER/PR+.

My mother had BC 3 times, 2 mastectomies in the 1980s and still had a reocurrence in the mid 1990's. She is now 75 years old. -- Donna in VA

I don't remember the size, but the lateral was er+ her2-, no node involvement, stage 1, dx'd as IDC before and now DCIS. The first biop was labeled Atypical Hyperplasia. Tamoxifen for 2 years. Now on Femara since April 06. This is from memory..but close.

-Just came off Arimidex 2 weeks ago. Will be off for another 2 weeks. Switching to another AI. Can't take the joint and muscle pains (besides the hot flashes and no libido and fuzzy brain) anymore. Hopefully next one is kinder!

Had 4 rounds of a/c. Tamoxifen for 10 months and on arimidex now.

Jone 06 had hysterectomy and ovaries removed.
