What an awesome surprise- I just received my own "community afghan" today. To all the ladies who helped create and send me this treasure - I am deeply touched and will cherish the love and friendship that went into every stitch.

I am simply overwhelmed. "Thank you" hardly seems adequate, but thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an awesome, talented and generous group of ladies.

God bless. Log in to post a reply

Donna: I'm so happy to that you've been given one of the community Afghan's - I love this project that brings so many of our sisters together... You've been having such a tough time - I hope the blanket will bring you warmth and be a constant reminder of the love and support of this community!
Hugs,

P.S. How are you doing ? I hope the pain is gone and that there's no signs of the hematoma anymore!

Just wanted to let you know, I was feeling chilly a few minutes ago, so I grabbed my afghan and laid it across my legs. I sat and gazed at each of the squares, and am simply mesmerized by the beauty. I wish I knew who made each square, but ultimately it doesn't matter because love and care that went in to every stitch is evident.

Thanks again for this gift that I will treasure forever.

Donna, each and every square was made by individuals that live in different states!!!

Vickie and I receive these squares in the mail from individuals who lovingly make them...and we put them together....

Each square was made with love and caring and is meant to give you a feeling of love and warmth and understanding that we are all with you, surrounding you with love.
