I wanted to thank everyone for support as I just had a follow up mammogram.  I was diagnosed with LCIS in January after Breast reduction surgery. I am now doing follow up visits every 3 months and mammograms or MRI's every 6. I was very relieved that my mammogram was clear.  I was soo nervous going into it.  I have not had the courage yet to go on the tomoxifican so I worried about that too.  I told my dr I would finally try the tomox but I have yet to take that first pill.  Right now though I am very happy that my mammo was normal and I don't have to worry about it for another 6 months.Stay optimisitc everyone!!!!! I am constantly working on that.

62192-----With only 3 and a half months to go to finish up my 5 years of tamoxifen, I can honestly say it hasn't been too bad.  My SEs, while annoying, have certainly been tolerable and manageable.  Mostly hot flashes, some mild insomnia and achiness, but all of that can also be atributed to menopause, so I can't blame tamox for everything!!!! With all the uncertainty that goes along with LCIS, it has always made me feel better to take the tamox--makes me feel like I am doing something proactive to significantly decrease my risk of invasive bc in the future. If I get it someday anyway, at least I know I tried my best.

Thank U for the replys to Anne and Misty 3.  I have thought that same thing.  At least if I ever got it I know I would of tried everything.  I just need to try the tomox, maybe it won't be as bad as I think.  Wishful thinking on my part!!! My boobs are soo sore today.  I think the mammogram and still just overall soreness from the surgery.
