I took tamoxifen for one year but was switched to Arimidex after my ooph.  I had more issues with the tamoxifen so the change was good for me in terms of se's.  However, in Canada, the tamoxifen is much cheaper than the AI's if you don't have insurance.

Not many side effects..... hot flashes (lots of those) and some soreness in my wrists and ankles from time to time.  I have osteoporosis in my lower spine.... and take Actonel for that.  I believe it is caused (or at least worsened) by Arimidex.
