tea with daddy--

Tea with Daddy......

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.

I was maybe 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an

accident. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well

gift and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news

when I brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just

water.  After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such

yummy tea, my Mom came home.

My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring

him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!'

My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall

with a cup of tea for Daddy and she watches him drink it up.

Then she says, 'Did it ever occur to you that the only place

that baby can reach to get water is the toilet?'

terminally ill teen, wants you to real her poem

<font>Slow Dance</font><font>

This is a poem
written by a teenager with cancer.

She wants to see how many
people get her poem.

It is quite the poem. Please pass it
</font><font> </font><font>on.

This
poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a
New York
Hospital .

It was sent
by
a medical doctor - Make sure to read what is in the closing statement
AFTER THE POEM.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever
watched kids
On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to
the rain
Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a
butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading
night?

You better slow down.

Don't dance so
fast.

Time is short.

The music won't
last.

Do you run through each day on the
fly?

When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the
reply?

When the day is done
Do you lie in your
bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through
your head?

You'd better slow down

Don't dance so
fast.

Time is short.

The music won't
last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it
tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see
his
sorrow?
</font>

<font>Ever lost touch,
Let a good
friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call
and say,'Hi'

You'd better slow down.

Don't dance
so fast.

Time is short.

The music won't
last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You
miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry
through your day,
It is like an unopened
gift....

Thrown away.

Life is not a
race.
Do take it slower
Hear the
music
Before the song is over.

Dear All: PLEASE pass this mail on to everyone you know -
even to those you don't know! It is the request of a special girl who will soon
leave this world due to cancer.

This young girl has 6 months left
to live, and as her dying wish, she wanted to send a letter telling everyone to
live their life to the fullest, since she never will.

She'll
never make it to prom, graduate from high school, or get married and have a
family of her own.

By you sending this to as many people as
possible, you can give her and her family a little hope, because with every name
that this is sent to, The American Cancer Society will donate 3 cents per name
to her treatment and recovery plan. One guy sent this to 500 people! So I know
that we can at least send it to 5 or 6. It's
not even your money, just
your time!

PLEASE PASS ON AS A LAST REQUEST.

HAIR, NAIR, WHERE??

<font>My neighbor found out her dog could hardly hear so she took it to the veterinarian. He found that the problem was hair in its ears.  He cleaned both ears and the dog could hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell the lady that if she wanted to keep this from recurring she should go to the store and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.</font>

<font> </font>

<font>The lady goes to the drug store and gets some "Nair" hair remover. At the register the druggist tells her, "If you're going to use this under your arms don't use deodorant for a few days."</font>

<font>
The lady says: "I'm not using it under my arms."
</font>

<font>
The druggist says: "If you're using it on your legs don't shave for a couple of days."
</font>

<font>
The lady says: "I'm not using it on my legs either; if you must know, I'm using it on my schnauzer."
</font>

<font>
The
</font>

<font>druggist says: "Stay off your bicycle for a week."</font><font></font>

amimal lovers! please click this site to help

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple. Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on the purple box "fund food for animals" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS!!!

Stupid things people have said since I was told I have cancer!

the topper for me: in the locker room at work, i was itching my chest a bit, scar area,(no recon)  and a young female that was in the locker room said, hey, stop playing with your boobs, and i said i din't have any because i had them removed due to breast cancer.  she looked horrified and said:"you don't have tits,, you should become a lesbian then, because men like women with tits". and added," if i didn't have tits, i would become a lesbian".  OMG. i didn't know if i should laugh, or wack her in the head. like not having breasts, would turn me into a lesbian over night.. so i laughed it off, thinking she was just young and uninformed.. several months later, she said the same thing to me., only this time she said, you should become a lesbo,, so i turned to her and said, yea, great idea, want to be my girlfriend!  and left her there with her mouth hanging open,

after finding out that i had mastectomy with no recon, a male friend said, well," you probably won't miss them much, cause they were small ". yea, i said, and i guess you wouldn't miss your balls much either, you know, cause their so small..

him i can forgive, because i don't really think he knew what to say, but the woman, well, she will be stupid forever..

Cat lovers--HELP!!

MY BIG BOY, FERAL CAT, I TRAPPED HIM AND GOT HIM NUTERED AFTER I FED HIM IN MY BACKYARD FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS. HE WAS VERY AGRESSIVE FROM LIVING IN THE WILD AS THEY SAY, WOULD HISS AND TRY TO BITE ME IF I TRIED TO PET HIM. FINALLY AFTER I TRAPPED HIM, HE GRADUALLY WOULD COME IN THE HOUSE TO EAT, AND THEN WANTED TO GO BACK OUTSIDE. NOW, HE IS A BIG BABY, AND SITS BY ME, LETS ME BRUSH HIM AND IS VERY LOVING AND SWEET. I HAVE TWO FERALS, BIG BOY AND CICI. THEY REWARDED ME WITH SUCH DEVOTION RIGHT AFTER MY SURGERY. WOULD SIT BY ME AND PURR.. I JUST LOVE MY "WILD CATS". NUTERING BIG BOY CERTAINLY CALMED HIM DOWN, ALONG WITH PATIENCE AND LOVE FROM ME.. SUCH RETURN THEY GAVE ME..

P.S- SOMEONE FROM "SAVE OUR STRAYS" GROUP, GAVE ME THE SPECIAL CAGES NEEDED TO TRAP WILD CATS, AND SHOWED ME HOW TO SET THE FOOD IN THE CAGE. THEY ALSO GAVE ME THE NAME OF A VET WHO WORKS WITH THEM, AND I ONLY HAD TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE ORGANIZATION IN PAYMENT.. I HAVE TRAPPED 7-8 CATS SO FAR, AND FOUND FAMILIES FOR MOST OF THEM..

Christmas Blues

hey isabella, boy, you hit the nail on the head on all counts! especially about the gp. i too dressed up when i went to see mine last week, she was totally dismissive of my complaints about joint pain, fatigue, etc. so i am going to take a pic of myself, how i lounge about at home, big robe, sweats, hair in a bun, cig in my mouth, and nothing matching!  and say, see,, this is how i really feel!! and i am going to have a five day "flop out" right after new years, and i'll certainly need it after dealing with all the lunatics  i face every day at work!!

hi ya junie!

we all get it, why can't everyone else..snap your fingers, and i'll smile!

hugs to all, don't worry, santa will be heading back to the north pole soon.

What's in your moisturizer?

been using cetaphil for the last six years. i had a terrible rash on my arms and hands, the cancer and blood specialist i saw at the time, recommended i stopped using the hard buff puffs, stop showering so many times a day (summer, i took 3 quick showers) and suggested CETAPHIL. yikes, # 5 on the safe cosmetics list, and they use animal testing to boot.. will also go to burts bees. i use some of their products already.. thanks for the link, lost it along the way...

WHEN WILL IT ALL ENDTHINK I'LL JUST GO TO HAWAII AND FORGET IT ALL--OR BUY MYSELF A HARLEY BIKE AND GO ACROSS COUNTRY, OR GO TO KENYA, AND GET MYSELF A YOUNG AFRICAN LOVER, LIKE MANY WOMEN ARE DOING, OR I'LL START DRINKING AGAIN...EXCUSE ME, IT'S LATE, AND MY MIND, WHAT I HAVE LEFT OF IT..
