Neuropathy

I am a 2.5 year male breast cancer survivor.  I have had neuropothy ever since chemo (taxol and FAC).  All the drugs  took for neuropothy did me no good.  Several weeks ago I started acupuncture at MD ANDERSON.  The pain went away but the numbnes and tingling is still there.  I can live with the numbness and tingling.

Bruise easy anyone?

I take tomoxifin.  I also take coumadin which is an anticoagulant. I do bruise easily but am not sure if it is from the tomoxifin.  I know i bruise  easily from taking coumadin

I am a two year survivor. I just had my annual mammogram last week and it cam out ok. I had a left mastectomy, 12 weeks of taxol, 12 weeks of FAC (every third week) and 6 weeks of radiation.
If any of you men want to chat with another man that has had BC please contact me. Gary is also great for chatting.

Public Speaking about Breast Cancer

I have tried to get into public speaking, going on television and having newspaper articles published and to no avail. I am a man that is a survivor of BC and most people do not even realize that men can get BC. I want so much to spread the word.

I am sooooo Exhausted...can anyone relate?

I finished chemo and rads back in Oct 2005. I have been tired ever since. My Doc did a blood test on me and found that I had a very low hemoglobin count and that is why i was tired. So ladies make sure that your hemoglobin count is not low.

anyone afraid to use the survivor word?

i hate when people say i am in remission. I am a survivor and that means the damn BC will not come back

how about drinking?

Seems like i bumbled into a board of drinking fun ladies. I am one of the few male BC survivors(one year) and have been afraid to drink since i came down with BC. Looks like i was being to overprotective of my self. I sure would love to join all you ladies for a drink to the happy holiday season.
