Aromasin and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Thanks everyone, I truly appreciate your input. I do have the wrist braces, and am not good about wearing them nightly....my hot flashes are so bad (despite Effexor) that I feel lilke EVERYTHING is making me hot when I am having one (several times a night) and I end of taking the darn things off! I know it's silly, but there it is. I have a fairly active life (we have goats and horses) and I NEED to be able to use my hands. But with regards to what some of you have said, I will take the improved chance of survival over the carpal tunnel hassle any day, and thank God for it! |

Aromasin and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?I am sure this has been discussed here but I do not know how to search for it. I had been on Tamoxifen for 2 yrs with no significant side effects, Then about 4 months ago my onc decided to try Aromasin on me. It was somwhere around thern that I began to notice symptoms of carpal tunnel, both hands, can't hold a phone for long (minute) before numbness starts, Sleeping, never a good thing for me, is now even worse, as almost any position sets off the numbness, As of this week, they switched me back to Tamoxifen, mainly due to my increasing joint pain. I am wondering if this carpal tunnel feeling will improve. Anti inflammatories seem to give very limited relief. |

"Make A Wish" for Adults??While in radiation therapy this summer, I met a little family, Husband, wife and 3 kids. The dad has terminal adrenal cancer. His kids are 8, 5 and 4. He has been out of work for some time due to his illness. Their little church raised $$ for them to have a last family trip to FL but no $$ for sightseeing. I found this out on my own recently, and decided to try and raise $$ for a day at Disneyworld. We had a bake sale at church and thanks to generous folks raised $300 today. I found out it is not enough for one day's tickets for the five of them and a helper adult. Is there any resource (like "Make a Wish", etc.,) I can appeal to for help for this family? They are sweet people who never complain and are facing this illness with such dignity.
Thanks Julie in OK |

I WANT MY MOJO BACK!Thanks Janis..I am with you, I believe there are many things we do for one another in a committed relationship, and not always because we feel like it. My husband is not demanding in any way, he is very supportive, but I believe sex in a greater "need" for guys than for women, and I want to be there for him at least part of the time!

I WANT MY MOJO BACK!I wish I had some of you guys' enthusiasm. My 4 cycles of Cytoxin and Taxotere (done May 31)put me into a chemical menopause that at 47 I had not started yet. I have no libido. I feel like a 6 yr old in that regard. "Don't know about it and don't care!" For my husband's sake I WANT to care. I have an RX for Effexor that is supposed to help reduce my once or twice hourly hot flashes, but according to some it can help libido, others say the reverse. I am also concerned about side effects.
