Aromasin

Peggy:

I was dx in May, 2003.  I was on Tamoxifin from Oct. 2003 - Dec. 2004.  I have now been on Aromasin from Dec. 2004 - to present, i.e., going on 4 years.  I do not know how to address the questions of SE since I had arthritis way before breast cancer and for me to determine if it is the arthritis in my knee or shoulders - OR if it is Aromasin, I can't be sure.  But it is definitely doable for me - so much so, I hope I can continue past the 5 years.

Also, please be sure to not catch any cold germs with your girls being sick, okay??  I'm sure you're taking care of that!!  :) :) :)

Linda and Rosemary:

Hi there gals.  Yep I was kind of feeling like the Lone Ranger but I am so happy to hear that Sarah and her hubby would love to come here to Michigan and wake up the people!!!  I sure do hope McCain agrees with her b/c we have really been inundated with the Dems lately - Obama and Biden with their wives and now Michelle Obama is coming again (on her own)  some time next week as well.

I'll keep an eye out for that ad on Obamah's tax plan - that's an especially sore point here in Michigan (as I'm sure everywhere) with our own Dem govenor - Jennifer Granholm (ugh) being the queen of taxing and driving small businesses out of the state.  Lord knows we can't use that!!

Take care and keep the faith.

Hi all:

Just another kudos to Sarah for last night's debate!!!  Also, as someone above mentioned - I don't really care if Europe likes our choice of President or not . . . too bad!!

I feel very much in the minority here in Michigan - as you know the McCain campaiagn has pulled it's ads and any future visitation (at least for the time being) here in Michigan.  Smart move - concentrate where you can do the most good, right??

Rosemary:  So happy to see you back, safe and sound!!  We missed you!!

Shirley:  That food sounds delicious - I wish I like to cook more - I sure do like to eat though.  :) :)

Shirley and LindaMemm and Nicki:  I absolutely adore the Bee Gees - I thought I was one of the few, so happy to find so many of us.  Throwbacks to a happier time??

IBCSpouse:  So sorry to hear that your wife (and you) are going through such a hard time.  Sending prayers your way.

And last but not least, my McCain/Palin bumper stickers came today.  The polls in Michigan in the past few days have really looked bad for McCain - hope the debates tonight will help somewhat!?!

Take care guys,

Pat

Radiation and Rib Pain

Tomatojuice:

I so agree with Shirlann, Anet and Nena.

I had radiation in 2003 and I ended up with the worst pain problems.  It lasted for over a period of about 7 months.  I had what I called "attacks," and even ended up in ER once and at a cardiologist another time.  It finally left but as Shirlann said, I still feel some pain/weakness in my left rib.  I don't mean to frighten you and I'm sure mine was an exaggerated case but the short answer is Yes- radiation sure can cause this kind of pain and Yes - the radiation oncologists all say it has nothing to do with the radiation.  Sure!!!!  I was so happy to find out on these boards that others had experienced the same thing - otherwise I would have thought I was nuts!!  :) :)

Remember - it does go eventually.

Hugs,

Pat

Morphine all day everyday - Things are getting serious

Stephanie:

I am so sorry to hear of the pain you are in.  It makes me so sad.  Please know that we are all praying for you and as you said, "turning up the volume" on those prayers.  I, too, wish I could be near you to help you with your kids or to give you some comfort.  Hold tight, Stephanie, we are all here for you - and am asking God to hold you in the palm of His hand at this very moment.

Hugs and Blessings,

Pat
