Radiation with expanders in placeI had an expander, then radiation. Ended up getting expander removed. Radiation either burnt, or did something to the expander, that was causing me so much discomfort. Have not had the surgery(because from what I hear), I would have to do the trans flam. Cannot do expander again :( |

How many of you actually had a palpable lump?I felt a lump. Mammogram did not show anything. Then ultrasound and it was right there. It's been almost three years since my last radiation. Had left mastectomy, chemo (6), and rads. Live in Michigan. Shari |

Low LibidoHi. I too am on arimidex (since jun-05), and my sex drive is rather low too. I refused to take any antidepressants (I heard that can make your sex drive even lower). I am hoping it's the arimidex. I guess I have another 2 1/2 years of this crap. I hate this shit. But I am thankful, my mri's and mammo's have bee Aokay. Shari from Michigan |

Not Diagnosed but Concerned + Not Diagnosed but Worried, Created: Feb 3, 2007 10:43 am
Any Idea???Here's the scoop in a nutshell. Had a left mastectomy 2 years ago. My right side (where the bra wraps around), has been bothering me, and my bra is really tight. Went to doc, she felt it was muscular, went for some therapy, no help. Had an MRI (right axillary area)-negative. Just had my routine MRI of the RT. Breast on Monday-thank g-d negative. I don't know where to turn??? Called Onc. yesterday and left a message. Kinda feels like a lump in this area, or protrusion. HELP!

unsureDoes she have a mother? I would think the mother is involved with this situation! Hopefully it's early and they can take care of this. Yes, it is rather young, but I guess you never know. Please keep us posted!.

Opposite Side???Thanks for your post. I am thinking on the line of fatty tumor (lipoma). Was reading up and they can actually inject steroid combo to shrink it. Mine (if that's what it is), is bothersome. Right by my bra line, and my bra is really tight. Going to call doctor this afternoon. Thank you again.

Opposite Side???Had a left mastectomy,1-31-05. Since Sept. my right side(not the breast), more of where the bra line is, feels like a lump like, or prominent. Went to breast surgeon (nurse saw me), and said it wasn't breast. Had an mri of axillary portion of right under arm, negative. Went for some physical therapy (4 treatments), no better. Had an injection, no help. Went back to breast surgeon two weeks ago, and she could feel this area, didn't feel like it was breast, maybe muscle. I am having an mri this monday (this was scheduled 6 mos ago). My bra is ver tight on me (more in the area of the bra line). Any answers to this? I am soooo worried!!! HELP with some ADVICE! I was thinking maybe a Lipoma (fatty tumor)?
Thank you! Shari |

Could It Be??? Almost 2 years later?????Hi to all. So frustrated. Had mastectomy, chemo, rads 1-31-05. Finished all treatements by 6-05. Since last Sept of this year, my opposite side is bothering me. Not breast, but side. Went to physical med. doc, who works with my breast surgeon, and i think he thought i was nuts. Put me through some physical therapy (no help), a week of steroids, and just yeseterday, and injection, which he said should work within 1/2 hour or so. Well, here it is over 24 hours later and still in pain. My bra is SOOOOO tight on me and uncomfortable. Looking, doesn't look like I have lymphedema, but I wonder because of the tightness.. Anyone else have similar problems? It's so uncomfortable.
HELP! Shari |

MI SurvivorsHi. Anyone out there had treatments at Royal Oak Beaumont? That's where I had treatments, and my still see my docs there. I have been done with treatments, July 05. It's weird, cause now is the time almost 2 years ago, that everything started to tumble down. It's sad and scary.

ANyone develop lumps on your ribs?????????Hi. I feel a lump on opposite side (had left mastectomy-feel this on right side-not breast, but side). Had Mri, and Ultrasound-both negative. It hurts a bit,and my bra feels very, very tight. My breast surgeon(rather the nurse), did not feel anything in the breast, and shipped me to the physical medicine doctor-who works strictly with breast cancer pat. He is putting me through some physical therapy(actually the therapist, is just kind of working in that area with her hands). Have had two weeks-with NO RELIEF! Just called the physical med. doctor today, and left a message. I am at my wits end. They say muscle, but it's SO UNCOMFORTABLE. WHAT TO DO???
