Lattissimus dorsi - comments pleaseI am incredibly happy with my lat flap. I had a bm with immediate recon. Doc even made me a cup size bigger! They fell where they needed to be, and look better than ever. I was out of work 2 weeks. I slept sitting up for 2 weeks as well. If I layed down there was no getting up, but I must say the drains were the worst part. I have no feeling on or around the scars on my back, the scars are hidden by clothing, no biggie. The nipple reconstruction was scary, it looked as if I had worms sticking out of my boobs for over a month. But they shrunk down, and yea, I am happy. |

Brain Mets, Or Tamox??I have been on tamox for 10 months. I recently noticed aches in my legs, arms, shoulders and side of my neck. Sometimes i get tingly, and arms and legs seem to "go to sleep" easier. I get slight headaches on the base of my head sometimes too. It seems to be on one side more than the other. I cant say much for the blurry vison because I have always had poor eyesight. I dont have the confusion, and most of the time I feel good. But I went to the doc anyway and he ordered an MRI of my brain. I go next week. I'm scared, but now thinking it may just be the tamox. ?? Anyone else had these symptoms? |

Bone Pain, arthritis or mets??I have the same aches and pains! Doc ordered a brain MRI in a few weeks. I have been soooo worried, but reading your comments have eased my mind a bit. With all we have been through it's so hard to not freak out at every little ache! Thank you and god bless. |

brain mets or just a headache?I am 28 years old. BRCA positive. I had my last chemo a year ago, underwent a bilateral mast, and have been on tamox for almost a year. I opted for chemo before surgery so The docs were unsure of positive nodes, but they were pretty confident based on the size of my tumor that I did. After the chemo, surgery and biopsies I was "cleared" of cancer. However now I have been exp wierd aches and pains in my hands arms legs and neck. I have those headaches also but not everyday, and they dont last long. Doc ordered an MRI of my Brain. I am panicked. I go on the 27th of May and get my results June 10th. I will keep you posted. ***With our history, it is never silly to request to have tests run*** Because you never know, and piece of mind is priceless. Scared, Christina |
