What tests does everyone get?Hi Kim Do you know what grade your cancer was?...I also had a vaginal ultrasound because I take Tamoxifen and got my period, which thank God came back normal...Also I am going to ask him to check CA-125 protein, it can show if there is possible ovarian cancer going on since once you get breast cancer it ups your risk of getting ovarian cancer..lucky us! So I think I'll tell my onc that I want to continue the bone scan, liver ultrasound and chest xrays once a year...I'd rather be over tested than left behind. What tests does everyone get?It's been almost 2 years since my diagnosis and I see my oncologist every 3 months for bloodwork. I get a MRI and a mammogram 1x a year spaced 6 months apart. I've had 3 bone scans, liver and chest xrays...my dr. now says I don't need the bone/liver and chest xrays..What do you think? What tests does everyone else get???? Trigger finger after chemo - no tamox or AI's yetI too have trigger finger...Had a cortisone shot in my thumb, which was extremely painful last year which helped for awhile but now it's back...Most likely will have to have it operated on. Uterine lining thickeningHas anyone had a problem with the lining of your uterus getting thicker using Tamoxifen? I got my period or so I think after not having it for a year & 3 months. I have been on Tamoxifen for 1 year & 2 months and observations from an ultrasound revealed that my lining has thickened. I now have to get a biopsy. Natural HealingGenesis I understand it all it just that I have fallen for all of the TV info commercials...Natural Healing Remedies, Miracle Food this and Miracle that, special juices...I do believe eating EXTRA healthy...exercising...eliminating the bad things and we all know what we should be getting rid of in our life, whether it's smoking, alcohol, certain foods etc or negative people!...Believe me I think its great that you are doing well...I take wheat grass, Vit. D, Goji juice, Noni juice, complete EFA, Mega Digestive enzymes and the list goes on...I went with the traditonal route for my breast cancer and now I look into alternative measures to use for the rest of my life...Just be careful and beware as we all have to with this disease...Good luck! Sentinel Node Dissection prior to MastectomyI had the sentinel node dissection at the same time as my mastectomy...I had 3 nodes taken out...they check them while you are still under...they all came out negative...so there was no need to check further and it eliminates another surgery...Hope this helps! Herceprin for <1 cm cancers?I had a 1 cm node neg. stage 1 grade 3 and had to have chemo...at less than 1 cm I wouldn't have had to have the chemo...but I was Her2+ and it was a definite that I was getting Herceptin for 1 year...Cancers that are Her2+ tend to be more aggressive...In fact tomorrow is my last Herceptin treatment...It is a walk in the park compared to chemo...Good Luck Dx 10/31/2006, IDC, 1cm, Stage I, Grade 3, 0/3 nodes, ER+/PR+, HER2+ |

Quitting ChemoStage 3b...don't want chemo...why not go see an alternative doctor and get going on some new therapies...wheat grass/digestive enzymes...juicing etc...watch Crazy, Sexy Cancer for inspiration...she didn't have chemo I believe andis still going! Good Luck PS...I would do the chemo...try something else...I had taxotere/cytoxin and did fine or try another facility...maybe they aren't giving you the right premeds...
