Thanks OZZIE!

I am going to tell my Oncologist that in Australia you are allowed to have Herceptin longer than a year or rather as long as it works. Most Post's say here in America, "I wish I would have stayed on the Herceptin the whole time because now I am back on it due to MET's.  I guess I will have to fight for it!

Hugs to You tooSmile

First time dx: stage IV: ILC:HER2+++:R-bc :+7/10 nodes (3" tumor!)Jan-07

DI- I watched, following my r. mastectomy, a fast cancer recurrance right over my incision and only one month later plus it spread on to more lymphs also the left breast. I was told I am not curable, obviously!  Anyway, Yes, it is a bummer! I am in a total Fog because of having to face as a newbe, stage IV...it  really is not a happy, lovely pink thing to me...I like your shirt inscription and that is what I think too!

Hey, may I ask here, Does anyone know why dr's only give the Herceptin treatment (which is working for me now) only a for year today? I went in to a remission after three months of chem and Herceptin...Later I did extensive rad. I keep reading these posts where years back, Herceptin was given for a long period and now suddenly in -07...Herceptin is only given for a year? Do they want recurrance rates to go up?? I know about the heart issue-but!

 Di,

My very best to you! Cathleen8  (pinkstink)

anyone have a re-occurance with bilat masectomy?

I had a re-occurrence over my R. mastectomy incision on to a right node and skin spread, plus hard lumps and all within only a month after the surgery and then it spread into a node in my left breast. This will know doubt have to be removed but I am in treatment with Chemo and just to begin radiation. My cancer is ILC HER-2-NEU-2 (8/10 nodes+)

Long Term ILC Survivors?

I will be ending finding comrades here I have had no success with this ILC and surving issues.I am stage four I do not have the time. IN the instant chats I found only one or two women would chat and help me. I will always remember those brave women and I am grateful to them-the rest left or changed the subject to inane conversion as a tactic to avoid the topic of cancer. Well that said I know very little about true survivership or sisterhood I had hope to find....good day and good-luck.

Long Term ILC Survivors?

Hi
I am a new and I have a post about my 1V invasive Lobular C. I am not considered cureable. I am also HER-2+++ and I am on herceptin with the Taxol, and carboplatin. 8 of 10 nodes were positive and then a node in the left apeared in that breast..This never showed on the diagnostic mam...Also, right after my R. Mastectomy, cancer develooped in the skin along the incicion within three weeks: about 4cc and also a rash. I have never heard of anyone having this. I hae never had cancer before. My father had prostate cancer and my mom had a kidney cancer caught very early and both were stage 1

My cancer is said to be particularily agressive... I am going to be visiting a radiology next.
Does anyone know what works best to find sneaky cancers? and the skin that has breast cancer. Those lesions failed to show on the CAT

Mets Question/Skin Lesion

I had cancer grow back into my mastectomy scar in three weeks about 4cc and a rash all over my skin. That is very aggressive. What does this mean? Will cancer show now anywhere in my skin? It did not show on the CAT as a lesion and the biopsy showed Cancer-is the MRI the proper tool for detection?

Does anyone answer these posts? The dates look so old?

Thanks if you answer Cathleen8 stage1V invasive, advanced breast cancer +9 nodes +++Her-2 -hormones ILC

Long Term ILC Survivors?

I have Invasive Lobular carcinoma and it was a 7 cc tumor in my right breast. I had a right mastectomy with 9 of 10 nodes positive and I am +++ Her-2. I am neg., for hormones. ANY LONG TERM SURVIVORS WITH MANY + NODES??

This sneaky cancer returned in my incision immediately and as a rash. That was almost 5cc. The cycle of Taxol, carboplatin and Herceptin shrunk the visible skin lesion from my scar almost immediately.

I have never heard of this happening. I am stage 1V. I have had little time to learn anything because it has all happened too fast and too very aggressive.

Would like to know if an MRI and a CAT Scan should be used to do my tumor marking. None of the skin lesion or recurrence showed on the CAT? I heard an MRI would show this?

Please help-worried.
