Anyone In Phoenix, AZ Area?

Hi Sisters,

I am looking forward to meeting you all Dec. 1st. I did get together with Elizabeth and her Mom and had a great time talking with them. I hadn't realized that 4 hours had passed. That is what happens when you meet new people and enjoy the time you spend with them. Elizabeth, it was a pleasure for me also to meet up with you and your Mom. Thanks for all your planning efforts.

 Melody

State license Plates

We have them here in Arizona. I moved from Minnesota to Arizona and when I registered my car here, I got the Pink Ribbon plates. They are also personalized "SRVR06". For me that is Survivor 06.

I hope soon all states will have these plates available.

A Beautiful day for Laura

Peggy,

Thank you so much for sharing the details of Laura's funeral with us. She is truly a blessing and deserved nothing more than a perfect funeral.

Thank you also for representing all of Laura's BCO sisters and friends. I so wish I lived close enough to be there. It would have been my great honor.

We are lucky to have a wonderful like you to keep us informed. You know I love you.

Your buddy,

Mel

Ctg -Laura's battle has ended

Laura, my Clinical Trial Girl (CTG) sister and friend. I will truly miss you, your inspiration, advice and loving spirit. You fought the good fight. Now it is your turn to be at peace, free from pain. I know you will continue to be with us, watching over us and in some way, continuing to help others fight the fight.

To Scott and Laura's family, I send you my hugs, prayers and thanks for sharing Laura with us and keeping us updated the past few weeks. What a blessing you all are.

Hugs and love,

Melody

Update On CTG

Hey buddy,

Thanks for letting us all know how your (along with Linds and Choca) visit with Laura was. What a blessing the three of you are. I am in chat now and hope to remain there until Ctg and the rest of you are there.

This site is such a god send to us all. I appreciate all of you. Thanks for giving Laura a hug and a kiss from me.

Afghan for CTG

Sweet Ctg,

I have been absent from chat for awhile and just heard today. My prayers, hugs and love go out to you. You have been such an inspiration and wealth of knowledge not only for me but for so many.

My own journey was made easier because you gave me such great advice, tips and helpful information. I miss chatting with you and taunting the others who keep trying to figure out what "Ctg" stands for...lol

Know that you are continually in my thoughts. I am still looking forward to "crashing" a Florida get together.

Love,

Fredo  (aka MelodyinAZ)

Hope all you ladies and Peter have a great evening!

TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Happy Wednesday friends! It has been awhile since I have checked in so I do hope this finds all of you well.

I have been job interviewing this week, so I am hoping to hear by the end of the week whether or not I have a job. I will admit I have enjoyed being off these past two months.

Love, Hugs and Prayers to all,

Melody

OC Komen Walk

I will be volunteering at the OC Komen Race for the Cure this year. I just moved to Arizona from Minnesota (but am from So. Cal) and I did the race in Minneapolis on Mothers Day. What an awesome and inspiring experience.

Did anyone cry at their first treatment?

I did not cry at my first rads treatment. Actually I didn't cry at any of my tx. However, I cried after being dx, cried when I shaved my head and cried several times during my course of tx just thinking about all I had been through and still needed to go through.

While doing rads, I realized I would rather go through chemo again than do rads.....it was harder on me since I had an awful burn.

I have been done with tx since June 8th, and have not cried since then. It is nice to know that there is light at the end of our dark cancer tunnel.

Hang in there. You have tons of support from your sisters here at BCO.

TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Jankay - Loved the husband post. That was very funny

Christine - Sorry to hear of your "Monday the 13th" troubles. Hopefully you will be able to get some sleep soon

Charlene - your angels are always nice to see. They are calming and make me smile. Hope you have no (or at least less) pain from your fills and that your urologist appt. goes well

Vickie - sending you good vibes that you get that job!!! I think it is wonderful that DH bought you the Glenda barbie. The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie

Lini - Good luck with your ultrasound. I had one last year and I know what you mean about drinking all that water and holding it.

Mandy - Sorry to hear your last chemo was delayed. Mine was too back in March but only by a day - even that was too long in my opinion

Emelee - loved the dog picture. My what big lips he has...lol

Happy Tuesday to everyone. Have a great day!!!
