here is what i think and ths is just me

i had bilat w/ immediate recon(exspanders placed at surgey) all would have been well if not for that damn chemo!!~~!! my incision healed to a point and then broke-- i then had a small flap-- from back added to the left -- i am small and my skin is thin-- new exspander placed and chemo over -- so i am on my way filling now slowly  -- and filling is not painful to me -- only first time

and it is very safe if you have reliable ps

the port is internal on exspander and you do not even see or feel it also my right side no probs it is sitting there pretty as you please waiting on exchange!!!!!!!

so my advice if you are healthy and have good skin on chest go for exspanders

save some scars

I have no idea about ibc -- however I would think the mri and pet would show it!! is your health good otherwise???Hold on and do not get to scared yet ~~ there are treatments for all !!!!!!!!

just a funny -- i would take hard breast vs no breast !!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I lost both of mine ~~~

We are all different and today there are many roads to recovery and no reoccurrence!!!!!!!

sounds like the beginning of my past ``

However get the mri -- it will answer ???'s --but also realize that some things are unknown until after surgery-- somethings are even different after biopsy

the thing I want you to understand most is --this cancer if that is what it is -- is not going to change in a few months-- it more than likely has been there for years and take your time , request the test and make your own personal decision !!!!!!! We all are different !!!!! Ditto Lisa on the waiting~~~ it's enough to drive you insane !!!!! but look -- I am still here w/ 98% chance of no reoccurence and that is an awesome feeling !!!!!!!

hydration and food and sleep -- was what i had to do .try to sleep the night before -- so that you are rested and can handle what comes later. I took  TAC all at same time - the taste buds go -- lemon helps and food I ate was bland --. my onc provided pre- meds  and i never got sick.

what chemo are you going to be taking?? we are all different-- you will do well !!!!!!
