% of TNBC recurrenceI would like to know the recurrence/survival rates also. I have a couple of friends in our local BC group, 2 of them had masts, chemo, rads and are 10 years out, 1 is 5 years out with double mast and rads, the other lady passed away 7 months ago, but was dx at stage 4 with mets already. Our group has about 25 people in it and 5 of us are trip neg. I am 1 year out now. Take Care Ladies Dx 6/12/2007, IDC, 2cm, Stage II, Grade 3, 0/7 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- |

Bimmer gets hate mail.Hi, I have a different view on this, my fiance (40) is young, if I should pass on from this disease, I would hope and pray that he goes on with life and does not die with me. My children are 18, and 21 his child is 19, they have lives of their own, why shouldn't he. I love him with all my heart and soul but if I pass earlier than he, I want him to live his life to the fullest, your only getting one shot at your life, there are no reruns. Bimmer I support you in your decision. My father passed away 1 1/2 years ago, Mom asked us kids if it was ok to go on living her life. We all totally agreed. Dad may be gone but he is not forgotten and never will be. They loved each other for over 44 years. She has moved on and I am very happy for her, she is 65 years old and should become an old maid...............NOT. Starting Rads in December, come join me!!!Hi ladies, Just a question, anyone have their boosts first? I had 8 boosts then rads dr. switched to full breast rads. I have 11 more of them to go and my breast is itchy and mostly pink. I had to take my rings off my right hand, fingers are slightly swollen, pain under my arm also. Dr. is not concerned about lymphedema says swelling will go away when rads are complete. Take Care Charlene Dx 6/12/2007, IDC, 2cm, Stage II, Grade 3, 0/7 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- |

Starting Rads in December, come join me!!!Hi Kids, The radiologist changed his mind because I questioned him about lymphatic invasion mentioned in my lab tests. He said it would be better to do the whole breast area. I have had 8 boosts to the tumor bed now I start tomorrow with full breast rads. No real redness yet, just a slight pink. My hair just does not want to grow I guess. I am taking 1000 mg of biotin a day and using nioxin (except the follicle booster, it makes me turn bright red and it burns). Anyone have a bad reaction to nioxin follicle booster? Maybe I am being impatient, but its been almost 6 weeks since the end of chemo. Abbey, 1 more for you also, I am so glad we can all close the chemo chapter very soon. I feel wonderful, last chemo was Nov 5, not enough hair yet to go topless (scarfless). I started radiation Dec 3, have had 8 boosts already and start whole breast rads tomorrow, today was picture day and remapping. I hope everyone starts feeling great real soon. I haven't been on in awhile, been busy busy, working. Today is a snow day and my daughter and I baked lots of cookies. Starting Rads in December, come join me!!!Hi kids! I started rads Dec 3. now 5 down and they are re tattooing me and re mapping on Monday. Explanation I get is the Rads Oncologist changed his mind and wants full breast rads instead of lumpectomy rads (have had 5 of these already). So off to CT Sim again Monday morning. Back to work is great (I think). Being done with chemo and out of the house are the best parts. I have not been given anything for rads burns either. I don't have any yet and hope I am fortunate and don't get any. How is everyone feeling since finishing chemo? Cute pic Sis! Hair? I am jealous, I have fuzz, started Nioxin today, see if it will jump start it. Take care Charlene Dx 6/12/2007, IDC, 2cm, Stage II, Grade 3, 0/7 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- |

I go for a rad trial run Nov 30, then start actual rads Dec 3 for 6 weeks. I see the light at the end of the tunnel and its not a train. I am starting chemo in July 07. Anyone else?Hi kids, I am doing the happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo chemo is done, not without a complication, but I am DONE! The taxol has done alot of nerve damage to the bottoms of my feet, my onc said no more. He gave me 2 choices today while I was there, thinking I was getting my final taxol. I could skip chemo all together or take a dose of Taxotere for my final. Since I am trip neg I took the taxotere as my final dose. Of course my stupid port didn't work for blood draw and I begged them to just give me my tx in it, she called onc and he said ok. Neuropathic painHi Ladies, I am experienceing some of the same symptoms on taxol. I am very frustrated that the bottoms of my feet are numb most of the time. I have some burning and tingling but not to bad. I called the chemo center this week and will have a talk with my onc tomorrow, hopefully, when I get my blood taken for my last taxol on Monday. The nurse mentioned reducing my last dose or if the neuropathy is to bad not doing the final taxol. Since I am trip neg I want the last tx (imagine that, wanting chemo) even if it is a reduced dose, no short cuts. I am so scared that this neuropathy will never go away, has it subsided for some of you, is there hope that it may subside down the road? I am starting chemo in July 07. Anyone else?Hi Kids, I called the chemo center nurses yesterday, my feet have not recovered from the taxol as they have with my last 2 tx's. I have had this weird tingly, burning, numb feeling in the bottoms of my feet with each tx, but this time it hasn't gone away. They said the onc will probably reduce the dosage of my final taxol on Monday because this can be permanent neuropathy. Has anyone had this feeling in the bottoms of their feet that didn't go away within 1 week after taxol? I am on dose dense X 4. I cannot wait till Monday is over! Chemo will be over! Abbey, so glad to see your doing better. Lori, Hang in there kiddo, your almost done! Have a great, safe Halloween! Charlene Dx 6/12/2007, IDC, 2cm, Stage II, Grade 3, 0/7 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- |

November rad girls check in here!!Hi Ladies, Add me to the November Rads Club, I have my last Taxol on Nov 5 and go for tats (I think) Nov 19. Now Onc said my positional, occasionally working port can come out after last Taxol, i don't know if I start rads b4 port out surgery or after. I am confused. Have to call and clarify all of this, any suggestions, are rads easier with port out? My port is on the same side as bc was. Breast pain during chemoHi Cedeno, I have the same pain after each chemo tx. I had a lumpectomy June 4, 2007, reexcision and axilla lymph node dissection on July 2, 2007 all negative. I have asked my Onc why I have this pain in my breast and armpit area, he had no answer. I have asked several women on here and in my support group and a couple of others had pain after each chemo tx. I had 4 dd A/C and I have my last of 4dd taxol next Monday. I hope we find an answer on here, I pray that it is the chemo gobbling up any left over cancer cells. Take care Charlene Dx 6/12/2007, IDC, 2cm, Stage II, Grade 3, 0/7 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- |

I am starting chemo in July 07. Anyone else?Hi Ladies, I am wondering how Rose and Lori are feeling haven't seen them post in awhile. I hope you ladies are hanging in there. Rose I think you have maybe 1 tx left, I have 1 taxol left Nov 5. Abbey, yes A/C sucks, cabbot argue about that, but it is doable. Have a great weekend all. Boo! Funky nailsHi Ladies, Chemo has had a strange effect on my nails also. But nothing like you ladies, mine have grown so long and strong, I have to cut them back. I have never had long strong nails in my life, except the fake ones years ago. They are not discolored or ridgey at all. I have had 4xdd A/C and will get #3 taxol monday, 1 more to go. Did anyone elses nails grow like wildfire or am I kidding myself and they are going to fall off, discolor or become ridged and brittle after chemo is over. I also never lost all the hair on my head and have not lost my eyebrows or eyelashes. I didn't have to shave my legs or armpits for months, but that appears to be coming to an end now. Have a Great Weekend Everyone! Take Care Charlene Dx 6/12/2007, IDC, 2cm, Stage II, Grade 3, 0/7 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- |
