Please tell me I'm not crazyHi Jasminn I had to have a mastectomy, and I did have recon as well, and am very happy with the outcome. However, you have to do what's best for you. I'd definitely pay attention to your tumor grade as well as lymph node involvement, as grade 3 tumors tend to be more aggressive. Just get all the facts before you make a final decision. Has breast cancer changed the person you are?Bettsgirl and Pam You are both so right! I had the chemo, bilateral with expanders, then implants, rads etc. Now that I'm "done" treatment, people seem to expect me to ne "normal". Well, I'm not!!! I HATE it when people ask if I'm "cured". HELLO??? Did someone discover a cure while I was sleeping??!! Sometimes I find it hard to believe people can be so ignorant. I'm actually MORE stressed out now than I was all through treatment, and people don't seem to understand why. Ok, that was my rant for the day!
