Oncotype Dx test...I'm so glad you responded. I'm feeling so alone out here. I have to make all these decisions by myself. I was told even with chemo it only improves recurrance 4%, seems low for all the side effects. Do you think percentage would change if I was on the high end of recurrance. Not sure if I want to know the answer to the onco test. I don't know if my mind or body is up to chemo.

OncotypeDX help with decisions!!!!!You sound great Iwish I could get in that mode of making a decision and going with it and not looking back. I have two children 12, 10 and don't want to make a wrong decision. I'm scared of chemo and don't know I could handle it. I hear Hormone therapy and having your ovaries removed can be just like having chemo. Up on the fence

Oncotype score and treatment decision I 'm confused on the onco testing. I was told with chemo my recurrance risk could drop down 4%. Seems small compared to the side effects of chemo. When I read about the onco testing that rate could be as much as 15%, is this because of being rated at a higher risk. My recurrance rate is only at 13% now. Scared of chemo and I want to make all the right decisions for my family. I'm I just miss reading this info on the onco test.

Oncotype Dx test... I have bc Stage 1 with .8cm invasion, no nodes. My oncoligist is wanting me to take an onco test, but I'm not sure I want to try chemo. My husband works on the road and I wouldn't have him home with me during chemo. I have two small children 12 and 10 to care for. I'm a little confused about the onco testing. I was told chemo could reduce recurrance down 4%. Then I've read it could be as much as 15%. Is this because of being at a higher risk rate by the onco test? My recurrance rate is already at 13% with rad and hormones. I'm not sure this is worth the side effect of chemo.
