Hey Melissa, yes that happened to me..was tested for carpal tunnell and it came back positive, but in the hand that didnt hurt much!!  There is absolutely no reason for me to have carpal tunnel, I believe it was the arimidex..I stopped taking it in February, and my hands no longer fall asleep..back then, I slept with the over the counter splints for many months, they did help..but now Im even lifting light weights at the gym, and no pain at all...

Hi Dalycity..yes my hr did go up..and my bp as well..first I noticed the heartrate going up..then I had many palpitations, and now high blood pressure. I was 6months to the end of my hormonal treatment but I have decided to quit it now..I am hoping that with exercise, diet and no mor drugs, that I will be able to lower it without any further meds!oh, my cholesterol also creeped up too!

Keep an eye on it all...your may be rising gradually too.

just an update here...I gave up! I spent so many nights recently crying in my bed..with leg pain and awful insomnia. So Im off the arimidex..for good!! Tough decision..really tough, but I would have hit my 5yr treatment date in august, and was er+ only by 5% and have had my ovaries and uterus removed..putting all that together..It just wasnt worth not one more day of this pain..last time I took a break it took 3weeks to feel better...Im doing the countdown!

 looking forward to better days!

I hope that everyone has success in whatever treatments they choose..I plan on keeping up with my healthy lifestyle..organic foods, and plenty of exercise..I hope this will make a difference!

Hi Kimberly, just my two cents here...but even though I have had extremely bad side effects from both aromasin and arimidex, I feel that depending on your type of cancer and nodes involved, that if your onc feels that you would benefit from ht. that you should try it.  I know of some women who have little or no side effects, and maybe you will be one of them...you could always stop if you need to.

Lynne we seem to have the same pain..yes the achilles foot pain is unbearable at times! and the muscles in my legs are in terrible pain much of the time also..I took a 6week break once, with my oncs approval, and it took about 4weeks to feel somewhat better..the brain "fog" as I call it seemed to lift too..so Im hopeful I will get my old self back again!

Hi everyone! Ive got about 6more months to go until I get to the 5yr treatment mark, and plan to stop taking arimidex then..just dont know if I can make it!!! Leg pain, muscular pain, sleeplessness, now high bp and cholesterol too! all this and I was only 5% er+

 Also had a hysterectomy and oophorectomey..I think this is all overkill for me.

I had IDC stage 2b and 2postitive nodes...right mast, chemo. Im just thinking of quitting now..I cant take another night of this.. but my hubby is more scared than I am, and he would be really upset..so I keep tryin!! I need my life back!

Just needed to vent to women I knew would understand...

oh ps. my onc doesnt believe that any of my symptoms are AI related...jerk!
