A new triple negative friend

As I read these comments, It makes me believe that there is no sure  treatment for some of us Triple Neg.   I had surgery first, after one month I began chemo.  Four rounds every 21 days of A/C.   Last chemo was on Feb.28.th.   Now my left breast is hurting, I had a mammography and sonomamography and there is a .5 cm cyst ,it does not say that it is cancer, just that further evaluation should be done.   I am not going to see the doctor yet, I have started to drink a plant call Chaya to give it a try for one month.   I can't even think that I have to go through chemo again.  I just hope it goes away with the wind....

Flalady Update

Oh my God!....So many stories about Triple Negative, that I really do not know what to do.   I had my last A/C session on Feb.28 .  My tumor was grade 3  (2.8cm)... I had a mastectomy immediately, then went to the Oncologist for treatment.  When he noticed I was Triple Negative he said I must go for turther treatment but wasn't sure yet on which chemo... I have not gone back to see him, since I really do not want any more chemo treatment....Because I thought that with Mastectomy and 4 sessions of A/C would be enough...And now reading all the stories about Triple Neg...I am scared, and still  do not feel like visiting a doctor again....

Anyone Triple Neg.  has had only mastectomy and that's it?? and is doing well???...

My wife just was diagnosed with IDC

God bless you for caring so much about your wife.   I had a mastectomy last october followed by 4 sessions of A/C chemo.  My tumor grade 3 but not spread .  But ER (triple Negative).   Anyway,  before making your decision,  check on a procedure called Mamosite which seems to be excellent for small tumors.  (www.mamosite.com)  It only takes 5 days without side effects...

Hopes high as breast tumours are put to sleep

Ten years is a long way.   I am Triple Negative and I received my fourth and last chemo of A/C on Feb. 22 08.   I was suppose to go back to my Onco two weeks ago, but I am afraid he wants to keep on with other type of chemo, just because I am Triple Negative.   I had a radical mastectomy (right breast) and all the tests , lab, CT Scan, etc.  showed no evidence that the cancer had spread.  The surgeon told me he had removed everything.  My lymph nodes were negative also.   I really thought I was not going to get Chemo, but as a matter of prevention, I had four strong sessions.   So I still do not know why should I have more chemo, just because I was triple Negative???  Right now, I am a fugitive from my Onco....just afraid to go back and end up having a treatment which is worst than the cancer itself!..   Anything new, any advice....I do not know what to do.   I am still sick from my last chemo...   SOS!!!!!...

Negative Estrogen Receptor Result

Thanks for your comments and good wishes.... I took Emend last time and it did help for the nausea.   I forgot to ask the Dr. for another prescription this time and since it is very expensive, I will not buy it unless I have a prescription .  My health insurance covers 80% of the cost which is not bad.   I know that by tomorrow morning I will need this pill.   So thanks for telling me about ativan,  I will buy it today (hope is not restricted)....  I feel like vomiting, but I hold myself because if I start vomiting my wig may fall into the toilet and this will complicate things....My  JLO look at 67 yrs. will vanish in a matter of seconds!!!...(JA!)... Thank you girls...Bless you all!!!.

Negative Estrogen Receptor Result

Thank you so much.   Tomorrow is my third treatment.  And as you, I am triple negative.    The only difference is that I am 67 years old.

And after chemo I feel as if I was pregnant without the pleasure of seeing the new born!!!.... On the third day I start vomiting and I hardly can eat.   (I am working and I wish there could be something that I could make me feel less sick)...

Thank you sooo much for sharing your comments.

Bless you!!!

Negative Estrogen Receptor Result

After having my right breast completely removed, with not trace of having spread to the lymph nodules,  the oncologyst recommended four sessions of Chemiotherapy just for prevention.....

I have taken two already, and I feel like a poisoned rat!!!... Anyway, the thing is that the test for "estrogen receptor" came out negative..everything negative...I thought this was great knews, but the doctor says that maybe because of this result, I might have to have more therapy ....  and another kind of chemiotherapy (I am taking the "red" one , do not know the name of it) maybe I really do not even care to know the name).   But I really feel that I do not need extra treatment as prevention because the cancer had not spread.    I only have seen the treatment for  "positive estrogen receptors" but what treatment is there for the "negative estrogen receptors.??

I am so confused !!!.
