Sorry I haven't been around to tell you gals sooner..rough weekend.

  Surgery went good, but Doc said it appeared that the lump had grown. That alarmed me a bit as it was right b4 getting put under! It is all removed now though, and I'm waiting to hear he biopsy results.

  NEED to ask..has anyone else had some hair loss right after surgery? Just got off the phone w/ my Drs. nurse, and she's going to look into it. I found out that it can happen to some women after surgery, but usually not till 2 months or so after. Telling myself it's just nerves...but that dang little voice back inside my head...

Hi everyone..Been trying to stay really busy and apologize for not being here for a while.

   Quick recap..mammogram and U/S done and found sebaceous cyst. Having it removed and biopsied, but I've been told it's 90% that it's B9. Surgery on 3/28..and anxiety is creeping in on me. Had to quit my menopausal herbals I've been taking for 2 weeks prior to surgery, so good ol' sleeplessness and hot flashes have been hitting me. Dr. said I can take an over the counter sleep aid, and they've helped a bit. Any of you gals have any suggestions? Unfortunately, I know way too many of you are in or have gone thru the same things.

Waiting IS the worst. But we will get through it and time will go swiftly for all sisters who are waiting. That's the best we could ever wish for each other..and I sure send the wish your way, Carole.

Surgery set for March 28th. Now comes more waiting and wondering. Even though my Dr. has said he is 90% sure my inclusional subaceous cyst is NOT cancer..why do I still have that lil' voice way in my head saying...{{what about the 10%???}}

Want to ask about this too. When the nurse called to tell me the date, she said I need to stop taking my herbals 2 weeks b4 the surgery. I'm thinking that's why they put it off so long, as I had expected the 14th. I've been taking some herbals for menopause..black cohosh, valerian, green tea extract..all come in a day/night pack at Wally World. Also, cranberry pills, and melatonin. He says stop taking all by the 14th. Anyone else been told that? I could see maybe if I were on meds, but you'd think herbals would be ok. Not like I'll have a hard enough time sleeping while waiting..let alone not have my herbs to help..

Anniee..He said he couldn't feel anything, and that it may have been from just getting over my period when seen by my Doc.(Never neard of that b4 but..hey, he's the Dr I guess) And yes, Jule..lumpectomy then off for testing. Fine by me rathere than have it needle biops. then have it out anyway...I want the little parasite O-U-T!!

LOL..the Dr mentioned it won't leave too bad of a scar, and won't affect my tattoo I have near the aera either!

Well..the breast specialist is 90% certain it is NOT cancer!! However, the lump is to be removed and biopsied to be sure. He said the same thing my Doc said, and the U/S tech...Inclusional Subaceous Cyst. Not going to mess around..get it OUT ASAP. so...{SIGH} he didn't even want to try and drain it..said it felt too solid and it wouldn't be worth it at this time.
