I'm playing the waitin' game, too.Kel, I know you're probably driving yourself crazy right now with all of the "what-if's". Most likely it is just a cyst that will require some aspiration. That is what I had, actually quite a few of them. I worried myself for an entire week thinking I would be positive. I had aspirations and biopsies performed. Biopsy was B9. The aspiration is nothing-very quick and painless. I will keep you in my prayers for good news! |

BiopsyJade, I had a biopsy last week and was told to leave the strips on until they start to curl at the ends then you can take them off gently. Mine fell off after 3 days and it didn't hurt at all. I had my biopsy on a Monday and got my results late Wednesday. It was so awful with all the waiting--the not knowing and the constant worrying. But mine was B9 and here's hoping that yours will be too! Don't worry-try to relax and do things to get your mind off of it. That's all you can do until that phone call comes in. Good luck! Cyber hugs! --Celi |

34 and anxiously waitingI received my phone call--it's B9!!! Thank you ladies, for all of your positive energy and kind words. The waiting was tormenting. But the phone call was good. The doctor said it's a benign hamartoma ( a cluster of breast tissue ). He said it is golf-ball size but since it's just breast tissue that I don't even need to have it removed. I'm thinking of a consulting a breast surgeon to be sure--b/c if it may cause me problems down the line, I'm thinking I should have it removed now. Any suggestions? Again, thanks to all of you for your support! I am going to continue to come back to this website and check in on you guys and those who are going through the waiting process. I will continue to pray for those who did not get the good news. Even though my results were benign, I still feel a connection to you guys. I was picturing myself going through it all already. You are and will continue to be an inspiration to me! You are such strong women whom I admire so much! God Bless!--Celi |

34 and anxiously waitingI'm 34, mother of 3 and had my biopsy yesterday. I am anxiously waiting for my phone to ring....to tell me it's benign. My kids can't go through this right now. My husband doesn't need this. I'm supposed to be getting my long-awaited Master's degree in May! My kids watched their 18-yr-old cousin die of cancer on Valentine's Day. He was diagnosed one year ago. My dad was diagnosed last month with esophageal cancer. My husband is a cancer survivor of 4 years. My grandmother and aunt both died from breast cancer. This disease frightens me--and angers me. Although I've seen it affect so many people I love--I'm scared I may have it and I can't even fathom that thought-not so much for myself, but for my husband and kids. Help.... |
